The first measures of your favorite song coming on the radio
The lurch your stomach gives when you go too high on a swing
Dancing in the rain, and splashing in the puddles
The relief in flopping yourself down on your bed after a hard day
Happy dreams
The moment you realize there is one more cookie in the box
Your favorite outfit
Hugs from loved ones
Discovering beautiful shells on the beach
Waking up and realizing you still have a couple hours to sleep
The joy of saying, “I love you”
The joy of hearing it back
Lazy Sunday afternoons
Happy birthday wishes
Deep, meaningful conversations with friends
Little children running in the sun, enjoying life
Helping a classmate with homework
Reconnecting with old friends
The awe you feel watching a sunset
Raindrop races on windows
That grin you give your friend across the room when the teacher says, “pick a partner”
Hot showers after a good game
Stuffed animals that don't mind being squeezed and cried on
The tears and hugs of making up
Realizing the moment you fall in love
The congregation passionately singing your favorite hymn
Spreading God's Word
Puppies and kittens
That text from the right person at the right time
Surprising your friends with little gifts
The smell of new books
The smell of old books
Capturing that perfect picture
Your unknown potential
God's love

I am the rain

gently patting

the rooftop

the drop

sliding down

your window

i glide

past the glow

of your lamp

clinging

to the warmth

of your fingertips

as they press

against the glass

losing grip

i slid away
In a drop of you, I lost an ocean of me.

As the evening blues
Makes its presence known
With calling attention,
Undeniably you’re my therapy
And my favorite pain
I could always feel the magic
In your seductive smile ,
When the night takes flight
On dreams painted with love
With strokes of desire
Lust ,love regardless
As the heat rising
Adrenaline in my veins
I Forever and more crave
For your soft sweet torture
Like a kiss from a Rose
Your sweet and sour kind of love
My desperate kind of love
That has me torn in pieces
Soft sarcastic kiss
Soft spoken lies
Soft magical moments
Soft sweet fragrance of love
Soft lips Stem with thorns
Makes my poetry bleed
Flowers and rain
Laughter and pain
I may fall, I may fly
Still, Forevermore Long for the touch of your sweet lips
Breathing against my flesh as we dance the evening blues
Into the promise of the morning, joy….
Lust , love regardless
You’re independently mine as I am yours ……...

If you love your mind just let it go.
If you lose your mind don't worry
It will find you again, eventually.
Trekking across the tundra;
Scaling the icy ridges

Crossing a vale of tears.

At midnight, in the dead of the night,

Your mind will tap you on the shoulder

and say ‘Here you are’!

Sitting all alone in the last place I looked.

While you are merely moonlight,

Pausing to reflect on still black waters:
Make sure your back gate is left unlocked,

The next time you set your mind free.

Kali swirls her flaming dress,
Eyes flashing, she cracks open the sky above your head.
Kali beckons and seduces, then pulls you in,
Before devouring your mind.
With her insatiable, irresistible desire.
I remember
sometimes

her voice would quiver

like paper lanterns
dancing in some
foreign nighttime glow

I fancy
sometimes

I knew that sweet tremble

at a tea ceremony table
beneath Chinese skies
many years before

it first caressed my ear

Too Much

Sometimes I go too  deep in my writing for others to understand
It's too much for them to take in
I'm not looking for praise
Or for money
But for expression of myself and others
So, they can relate and understand
That some of us go through things that only a dark fantasy can describe
And I'm sorry if its too much
