Grey covers the blue
A dark black blanket
Pinned on the sky
Thunderously shaking
Lacking an eye
Monstrous

Lightening danced, rapturous

Glaring at the green
Unleashing its wrath
With a downpour
Ripping off the velveteen
Dousing the sunshine
Tenebrous

Look;

When did relationships
Get defined
By a read receipt?
Will we
Now
Only measure intimacy
By a tweet?

What do we have left,
Why can’t we
Go back
To laughter
In a diner seat

They went all-out

     to seek what was  normal

     only to return in greater doubt

     and found their life to be abysmal.

I write this poem
Because I have a question
A question I have been wanting to ask you
From the day that I met you

We talked and talked
Shared songs
Spoke about jobs
Read poems
Talked about school

We spoke with each other
Through messages
So I never got to know your voice
Your way of talking

You might see where I am going
So I'll ask it directly
Will you meet me
Over a cup of coffee?

The emptiness in my eyes,
The truth behind my lies,
The fall before my rise,
And the goodbyes;

It scares me.

The dark beneath my skin,
The light within my sins,
The voice that loudly sings,
And my broken wings;

It scares me.

The wounds I can't heal,
The pain I can't feel,
The loss I can't deal,
And when I am real;

It scares me.

The silence in my little talks,
The stillness in my moonlit walks,
The thought of separate ways,
And my numbered days;

It scares me.

The demons under my bed,
The words spinning in my head,
The blood in my sweat,
And my cold breath;

It scares me.

Is a poet still a poet
If they do not write?

A journal gathering dust,
But a yearning to write.
Am I still a poet
Without my inner light?
I'm sorry I haven't written a while! Love you all

maybe,
it's not the possibilities
that's stopping me;

maybe,
it's me who is stopping
the possibilities.

Fire in nymph's eyes
Hips sway with star-studded scales
As lips feast on flesh

New day, new haiku!
Still not 100% but slowly but surely I'm getting there.
This haiku is for Echidna, also known as the Mother of Monsters, and one of the deadliest mythical creatures around. She is the wife of Typhon, a Storm Giant, and (depending on the myth) is daughter of Tartatus and Gaea or Phorys and Ceto.

She is known to have the upper body of a beautiful woman and the tail of a reptile. She became known as the Mother of Monsters because she birthed some of the most legendary Greek creatures, such as the Gorgons, the Chimera, Scylla, the Sphinx, the Nemean Lion and many more.

As terrible and powerful as she is, I find there to be a certain level of charm also. I wanted to picture a woman who is fiery, terrible, powerful and yet seductive and I hope I did so in this haiku.

Anyway, thank you all for growing followers, I'm forever humbled and grateful for the support 🙏🌹💜
