She
Swathed in melancholy her solitude knew no bounds
She searched in vain for that which can never be found

When the gift of another day becomes a fruitless platter
Tis' because of the lower minds' unilluminated chatter

She wanders through the night seeking dawns' first kiss
Lamenting the loss of her hearts' inner whispers of bliss

She'd heard it said that a cloud never dies and woe wept
Galaxies spiral in cosmic harmony, Gods' Love is perfect

She'd heard it said that there is no afterlife, only life itself
She always knew that love was & is the greatest wealth...

Can you fall for a voice??
A voice that came from miles apart..
Can you fall for it everyday,
Every minute and every second of your existence???
Can you fall for a shadow??
Can you run behind it even in its complete absence??
Can you turn your life upside down just to hear it in real??
Can you leave your core just to see the one you never saw in real?
Can you explain this madness apart from love?
Can you feel it's absence even when you were never sure about it's existence??

There's immortal.
And then there's
Eternal.

I've read of immortals -
I've read of their exploits, their battles.
They bleed.
They agonise.
They fall.
And one day
they fail to rise.

Eternal is different.

Eternal bleeds,
agonises,
falls
and dies
only to rise - Eternal.
Sorry to bother you
but I just have to say,
you bear a striking resemblance
to someone I knew once...

Were you there?

Were you there?
Probably not, but I confess

that it's refreshing to see
such familiar eyes on a strange face.
I'd drink it all in
if it wasn't probably laced.

Give it time.

I'll build up an immunity,
maybe even an affinity.
I'll drink your poison,
convince myself it's medicine,

If I could only get a proper dose.
A spontaneous poem I threw together off the top of my head.

Trying to work on not thinking so much about what I write and just tapping into the stream of consciousness.

You're more beautiful
And more outstanding and bright
Than you'll ever know.

You're worth more than you'll know. Just a reminder.

She said "I'm falling in love."

I said "I'm falling apart."
What's the difference?

When I see you in my mind,
I imagine a future with you,
before we even speak.
I go through intense feelings,
of love, admiration, lust,
from a distance.
Having never heard your voice,
I recite words to myself,
whole conversations about worlds,
the universe, and emotions.
Within milliseconds, I am waking up,
with you as a wife,
and me as a father to our son.
You don't realize,
I have been with you,
for decades, growing old,
an entire lifetime lived,
in my head in a mere second.
And then,
you reach out to shake my hand,
and introduce yourself.
And all I want to say,
is I love you.
This never happened. Most of my poetry is fictional. Although I wish it would.
