•like clockwork,
  her day would begin
•pressures of life like no
one could imagine•toting the
crushing weight upon her tiny shou-
lders•responsibilities and expectations that
would overwhelm before she falters•she'd ***-
ble as she groans her duress•her skin would crack
to release pent up stress•then there would come a day
•her exhausted veins would rupture and then give way
•she has the most terrible temper•but we would still flock
to her•
why?*........when time and again she offers us strife•

simply because she provides,
she gives us life•

Reminiscence

And we all like to compare the past with the here and now,
but there are only certain memories that we will allow.
Like how “remarkable” our childhoods used to be,
compared to adulthood now where “everything has turned to debris”.
As in a state of reminiscence we remember things in the most positive light
and in the greatest form so our memories of the past shine bright.
But we forget that nostalgia is a deceiver to you and me,
because nothing was ever as good as we like to remember them to be.

She is in love with the stars
All the unknowns, the expanse of the sky,
Tells me about the everything and nothingness,
Most times I don't really understand
Too infatuated with her eyes, wide and gleaming,
Twin Orions,

I try to explain to her my love affair with words
The everything and nothingness they hold
Recently her skies have been flooding my pages,
All the blacks and blues that hang high above
Staining my notebooks cover to cover
This study of celestial bodies

I like to fall in love with strangers
Because it teaches me to be
Comfortable in the idea of giving a
Piece of myself to someone new

I’m no stranger to disappointment
And I know this takes a lot of trust
But I’ll never see them again
So, I know they won’t let me down

Let the rain wash away your sins
And bring a burning fire into our hearts
Fighting to stay dry,
To live.

Let it drip down your face,
Rush down your body,
Rejuvenate the soul.
Eh its pouring outside

-the sounds of rain-

If I was told to describe
What
I felt for you
On a sheet of paper

I would tear it up, burn it
And let the dust of the ashes
Cloud up my lungs.
It's really just a couple of sentences, but I thought it was worth sharing. Cheers!

And so that the resounding acts of faith in my life overpower the fearful illusions that attack my mind.

When everyone has left me and poetry betrays me, would you still stand beside me until the end?

It's the only thing I need and all that I desire. Your voice inside my head is healing me.

Your blue eyes and smile- how they set my soul on fire. Nothing matters nearly as much to me as you.
