Secrets can't be kept forever
They’ll one day soon escape
The poetry of a widowed lover
May be freed from its closed cage
And i will cease to beg and plead for moral inspiration
And she will cease to oppress me
And my quest for emotional station
Dont lift a finger to help your adversary
See where this doctrine will get you
Your enemy will only assist you rarely
So why should you ever assist them too?
Because he as a man (or herself a woman)
Does not hate you so much
That he, or she, is willing to pound his or her humanity into the dust
Show me a word that explains how i feel
Is it guilt, or love, or sorrow, or nil?
Show me an emotion to guide me through life
Whether it be peace, or passion, or pride
Show me a moral i can understand
Be it of religion, or of my fellow man
And then show me death, show me closure, let me reap
But send me not to heaven, nor down into the deep
Send me to sleep
Don't ever get emotional
Don't try to be mature
Try to stay a child for as long as you can endure
Surrender yourself to innocence
Be a playful soul
Try to stay a child for adulthood takes its toll
Be friendly, but be shy
Be arrogant, but be blissful
Try to stay a child for your friends will love you more so
Dont keep track of debts or dues
Let live your life of love
Pardon your pride and passion too
And admire what comes from above
i wrote a poem portraying the defects of modern human, and i believe this to be one of the solutions, expressed in my own words
Failure is my teacher
And success, my graduation
Love does not come from above
It comes from determination
Persistence and passion will rebel
Redemption will be mine
I will no longer accept to fail
My restitution will be sublime
Forgive yourself, even when they won't
For they dont always understand
When words are tossed about like stones
And you don't know if you can
When lies are spread like a wild fire
When your friends are blinded by fear
Even when you’re indescribably tired
And you can even manage a tear
Forgive yourself, Even when they don't
Your old life will be back soon
Nothing is unforgivable
Oh! And be humble and righteous too!
this is my favorite of all the poetry i've written because it applies so often, and leads to a better life
