Do you think a shadow knows?
That it's just a shadow?
Given form by some matter and light?
I doubt so, but what do I know?
Perhaps the shadow is real,
And I'm the one who doesn't see,
The illusion of life lying to me,
Making me another shadow dancing on the wall, thinking I'm free.

If you have time
Well that is fine
But if you don’t
Then it won’t
Stretch to accommodate
While you procrastinate
So do it now
Work out how
Tell them what they mean
To you, hard as it may seem
If you, love them let them know
Before it’s time to go
It’s a very funny scene, watching them together,
Knowing he’s mine.
Remembering how his arms felt around me last night;
Watching her feed the baby she made for him
And wondering if one is now growing inside me.

The way you smell,
I’ll breathe you in,
that spot, just behind your ear,
where hairline meets skin.
You fill me with a fire,
That warms me from within.
I love the way you touch me gently.
Oh! But the way you throw me down!
Washing over me like the ocean,
and im so willing to drown!
I’m drawn in by your energy,
I can feel it pulling me close.
Like magnet to metal
like a moth to a flame
That magic I feel deep inside,
when I hear you say my name!

The wind howls and whips
Blowing snow as it rips
Away heat and living things
Huddle in the chill it brings
White whirling in the air
Mother nature doesn’t care
That protection’s wearing thin
Her icy fingers burning skin
The need to hide and survive
Drives all creatures still alive
As the weakest fade and fall
Now the strongest beat them all
Welcome to the Canadian winter

I’ve stepped out of the dead of night
Saw the sunbeam through the clouds
Took a deep breath of life

And knew I was alive

The red glow of sunrise
Touched me with invisible fingers
My heart was dark as marble on a grave
Thank God…
Now I can escape this eternal cave

No fear, no sadness
No pain, no madness
Oh God, will there ever be forgiveness?

Tell me the colour

Of my voice

While I whisper poetry,

Shy that the words might

Touch this still air;

Loving you has always been

Deep blue acrylics and

Muted gold filigree.

to bleed, to cry
what is the difference
for they both do a vital task
draw attention to an injury
in need of treatment
I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a long time. Everything I’ve been writing is trash. Thank you for your patience
