A vision yet to be defined
An eye to see beyond
A knowledge very hard to decline
An eerie feeling filling up

but it was all true reality

                and

                        you

Pinky promises mean nothing all of a sudden
Oh what a foolish girl I am
For caring for the health of others
If you don’t hurt yourself I won’t hurt myself, I lived by it.
But you don’t care
So neither do I.
Goodbye.
I always hated the vulnerable side of myself
I know you so well yet you’re a stranger to me.
I’ll never go back to my own ways
Because I’m better than that
No more scars
I’d never hurt my younger self if she was to stand in front of me
So I won’t do it now.
Would you?
You wouldn’t.
So don’t.
But who am I to care anymore about you.

As the leaves reappear one after the other
And the sky resonates with loud motors no longer,
Rather the melody of the feathery comets,
The timelessly rushed city does not comment.

It does not look up or stop the watch,
But carries on the proud march,
Out of breath, never in one place,
The race dictates the pace,
For the pride of glorious success,
Or to avoid the darkness of loneliness.

You don’t even smile anymore, no pretending,
But when last did you last looks past
Your own existence. Nature and harmony,
Only a distant memory, is this how it was meant to be?

precipitates of spite
sting deeper than an angry bee
even as I shudder in hate's bite
buds of resilience sprout in me.
My lonesome heart
I try to paint my heart red,
I use the blood that it has bled.
Before it was filled with dread,
But now it is simply dead.
Sewn together with some thread.
Because it was torn and spread,
By the things you said.
With lies you had filled my head,
You had me so mislead.
everything about you is beautiful
your soul, delicate & musical
introspective

bound by invisible
quivering thread.

tying us as one

we look eye to eye
the light in one another
beside the setting sun.

from city skylines,

the shared experience
of being human
is what binds me
to you.
just about the one thing we can all relate to. Being human. Loving each other and finding that connection within one another. To have acceptance for others simply due to having the shared human experience
Is it that I crave
an understanding of self
amidst a turmoil of state
or is it that I'm a coward
always running from
crying out for
justifying
what I
always
knew
to be
true.

Aren't why we hide,
Why we cry,
Or for some, wish to die.
"It was the way the truth was denied."
The last line was from the song 'Suicide' by James Arthur.
