love is like a rose garden
Hannah Oct 2017
to me love is like a rose garden
you walk down each row
admiring the individuality of each
every rose is beautiful
like love
they say not to pick the roses
what is everyone picked them
meant to be admired not touched
i am guilty of picking the roses
they sit in a vase in my room
i seem to pick the roses that remind me much of myself
usually delicate and light
not classic
yellow
light pink
you used to give me light pink
you knew who i was
delegate
not fulled bloomed
but exotic and beautiful
love is a rose garden
i want my own.
soul changing

sweet poison
Hannah Oct 2017
she was dancing around like a wallflower
sipping on sweet poison
a little too open
her lips and memories soaking in *****
alcohol numbs her heart but burns the throat
no concern for dignity she is eager to loose
she peers into the cup and takes the dive
until her mind becomes distrait
among all else nothing matters
she gazed at herself in the mirror
her eyes were green
the kind of green that pushes its way through the piles of gritty snow to remind you spring is coming
the churning passionate green that the ocean turns during a storm
she realized through being drunk
she loved herself sober
ive had enough of you

evreything he never was
Hannah Oct 2017
they took away his kindness
she missed the sunshine in his eyes
wished the bloodshot glaze would abandoned his sage colored eyes
she missed the memories that were erased
being captured and consumed scares her
she didn't want to be scared anymore

Curly Headed Boy
Hannah Oct 2017
to me he is human.
a tad more human than the rest of us
he is the sunrise i long to see
and the sunset i know so well
he is the first star i see at night
he is what i wish for upon that star
he is the song you never get turned off of hearing
or the place you go  that never seems to get dull
his voice sounds of adolescence and desire
his body as gentle as the ripples of the ocean at night
do i dare dip my toes in?
do i dare dip my toes in know the waves are coming
not knowing what lies beneath
he is so much like the ocean
beautiful
powerful
gentle
so unknown
why do we love the ocean so much
is it because of its beauty
or because its one thing on this God forsaken plant we see so much of but really know nothing about
is that why i love him
the wanting a curiosity of knowing what i see all the time
he is my breaking piont
you are the curly headed boy who broke me
