I can’t seem to get this thing started
But I know I can find my way home
I can take you to where the ice melts
We can follow it until it turns to foam

How long does it take to gain your confidence
I need the key but the puzzle is in your mind
All these complications for such simple things
Like your cheek rubbing your tears on mine

You're like a home without a door
Nobody knows where to begin
The curtains are shut
And the lights are dim

I know you’re still thinking about him
I would come calling but he got to you
He’s moved on but you can’t come clean
I don’t care about your past but you still do

The path is covered with red leaves
The way you were once loved has fallen
Stop looking at trees that will never live again

I think about the past but you’re not in it
Tomorrow is the only place I can find love
I can’t begin to build a bridge all in one day
But when you cross you’ll know what it’s made of

You're like a light without a switch
Nobody knows how to turn you on
The shadows live a long life now
And your smile runs away from dawn

I am White and Black
Red and Yellow
Doesn't matter a wise man says
What color is the soul.

You were not a drop in a sea of stars,
You were a spark in my unchanging dark,
though tiny,
though brief,
Your appearances
were always unexpected,
always exciting,
and always,
like a brilliant wild fire,
Lit up my barren heart.

The dark and obscure ocean
thrashing against the rugged terrain,
tempestuous imperilment at its peak,
as the sole sailing ship seeks refuge.

I stay awake until 5 every morning
It's an escape
If I go to bed, I have to think
And I've given up on living

My ex weighs on my mind
And then my other exes join
No one will satisfy me
And my vision is going bad

Art won't be my living
I'll have to go back to productive work
I have no plan, no discipline
And I'm about to **** up some relationships

Everyone is sour, I believe
It's the most obvious quality of mine

Deep Blue Beauty

Are you even aware how staggeringly gorgeous you are?

I don't just mean the symmetry of your ****** features or the temperature of your deep blue eyes.

I mean all of you.

How beautiful you are when you run your fingers around the tops of your ears when you are in deep though.

How inspiring your gaze on something that ignites that passion in you.

How stunning the furrow in your brow when someone hurts your loved ones.

How magnificent your voice singing the language of souls.

Even the crinkly skin on your elbows makes me smile because it is you.

Do you know how beautiful you are?

How perfectly unique you are?

The world is a much better place with you in it, gracing us with your infinite radiance.

My moon's half full,
Your's, half new;
Which half of the whole
Best suits you?

You loved with only half a heart,
Understood with half a brain,
You'd have been the better half,
If you'd half a mind to stay.

Leaving was only half the battle,
We waged a half-arsed war;
I ran for cover with a full notion,
I was getting half, no more.

Better half than none at all.
Is what they said to me;
But they don't know the half of it;
Believe half of what you see.

Keep missing her love I am always,
Richter scale failed during those days,
In the ones that earthquake struck,
Poor me - I sank in her crooked love,
I'm a man simple to stupidity's extent.

I tried so hard only to end up faithless,
Should love ever cross my way again?

Drooling over an apparent innocence,
Electric shocks I'll always remember,
Again I know she won't fall from grace,
D**eepening is this sorrow in my cage.
