In a flash, I saw

the cup slide off the table:

in the falling break.

Sometimes I feel like a person
all the wishes and wants
of someone who loves
and can be loved
in a surrealist way

Sometimes I feel immaterial
a collection of tangled ideas
lost in someones head
slowly waiting
unraveling
on the way to disappearing
Depression

Are my skies dyed with melancholy?
Are these roses red with rage?
If fields can be greener on either side,
Then whose envy is the gauge?

Between the brightest blacks and darkest whites,
Grays a gradient of up and down,
Can I trust the amber in your eyes,
When mine are dog-**** brown?

Let the blackbird out you can't write
No more, so I let him stay there
Let the blackbird fly just to lose
Everything once again
Drown him in whiskey and smoke
To delay inevitable as
He cant be quiet as he follows
From a string as you keep ignoring him
I am too smart for him as I take
Another drink of naivety

There is a blackbird I wont let out
As he murmurs under my breath'
There is an angel which cries life
As the devil cries death

Let the blackbird see every blue moon
Once in a while
See the bundle of burdens shout
And scream as this is just a feeling
But I'm to smart so I wont let them see

I can't, until the blackbird
Shouts and screams
Then this gift of life
Turns into a shallow dream

Leave me, like they all eventually do,
Tell me, is what they say, is it true?
Am I the common denominator, the
Crying wolf in a victim-less crime?
Is that why they all left, left me alone,
Watching my life as it passes the time?

Tell me, is what they say, is it true?
That I'm the reason you've reached the
Tether; cut our relationship through,
Even if I cried, and tried, to do my best
For you
Is that why I'm alone, with no company
But mistakes I need to atone, haunting
Me until I decay to my perforated bone?

Tell me, is what they say, is it true?
That I can't let go of my own demons,
That they are stuck to me like super-glue,
And I never tried to stop them hurting you,
I let them dig their claws into your innocent
Flesh, drag you into the darkness by your legs
So that you could feel it- the pain I were in too.

Tell me, is what they say, is it true?
That I never cared, or even tried to see the real you?
Was my vision so clouded, my eyesight so distorted,
I could not see you, in my own world of cold blues?
Did the storm of my mind consume me so fiercely,
That I never realized, after the cyclone died, you
were always my one and only silver lining?

Tell me, is what they say, is it true?
That my intentions were never genuine,
I never cared, it was all some magical ruse,
I'm the parasite and you were my victim,
The vampire who injected you with poison,
Turning blood black as it reached your heart
Is that why, now I find that we are apart?

You left me, like they always do,
So what they say, well it must be,
It most certainly, has to be true.

Butterflies get all the love
Get all of the attention
Come out in daylight
When you can shine in the sun
Fold your wings
Beautiful to peer
Slender smooth stance
Grown in a fancy house

What about me?
I’m pretty too
Stout and fuzzy
Come out at night
Shining in the moonlight
Show my wings on display
Like a jet plane
Grown in modest house
Clothing not as daring as yours
Name is small and dull

But I can still fly just as far
As you can... if I wanted
I’m not an ugly butterfly
You’re just a fancy moth
Moth vs Butterflies equally amazing. We are all different and beautifully made. Idea from Shamamama
