I want to fall in love, I do
But I know it’ll make you cry
When I don’t say it back
You’ll still smile
Say “it's fine”
I know it’s not—
I can’t even say it to my mom.

I want to fall in love, I do
I know it’ll be easy
Right at the first touch
But you’ll be left picking up the pieces
Of someone who self-destructs.
I hope with everything within me;
on the moon and shooting stars
old stone wells and white horse waves
that I am not forgotten

I still come to the shore and
wade into the waters,
feel the  current pull against my legs
threatening to drag me out
and abandon me in its expanse.
I steel myself to the waves,
to the unrelenting deep between us,
and sing songs across the sea.
some for you
and some for me
and some, for us both,
and I pray I am not forgotten

there is a fear, a quiet anguish that
looms in me like a shadow;
that the sea has swallowed my voice,
shipwrecked my song below the waves
and I am made a stranger.
an insignificant dot over your horizon.
like so many things
whose time has come
and gone.

So I hope.
that life has not judged me too fairly,
that somewhere I am happy,
hidden away inside you
on a shore that I will never see
and I pray I am not forgotten

You made me feel lonely
What you did was very ugly
I loved you and you cheated on me
In fact, you BETRAYED me
Because of you, did I go into depression
Very very wrong, were your actions
Thanks to them, greatly did I suffer
For me, not even one bit did you care!

You made me feel lonely
I thought you were lovely
How cruelly did you prove me wrong
My suffering was quite long
You drove a wedge into my heart
And tore it apart!!

You made me feel lonely
And treated me very badly
Thanks to you, did my self-belief shatter
Because, you struck at my very core
Sending shockwaves all over my soul
And effectively trapping me in a prison cell!!

You made me feel lonely
While you played a game coolly
Trying to destroy my relationships
With my family and my best friend
And trapping me in a toxic relationship
Which seemed as if it would never end!!

You made me feel lonely
But I came back strongly
Thanks to my sister and my best friend
To your twisted games, did they put an end
You tried to break me
But my goodness set me free
While you will eternally feel guilty
For your treachery and infidelity
Yes, you made me feel lonely indeed
However, from the trauma have I recovered
And learnt a lesson for life
Goodbye forever, my "poor little" ex-wife!!
Poem on how my cunning and treacherous ex-wife made me feel lonely and broke my heart.

In the morning, make me a cup of coffee and cascade the emptiness with all of my regrets, salt the wounds then add a dash of mistakes.

let it spill over, burning a road map down my arm and guiding us toward every house that wasn't home. let me savor each drop bit by bit until my energy turns into persistent delirium. let the traffic lights be every person who caught you on fire, and let the stop signs be moments you stopped breathing before your lungs decayed into road rash

we're moving again

traveling on a road of desperation wondering if anything could be different had we chosen an alternate route.
my brain says, "take a back road. become lost"
my heart retorts with, "weakling, you're already lost."
unable to make a difference, this map will forever lead to the same destination.
this pain will continue, amidst the eternal return
traffic lights accumulate, stop signs become unbearably longer while my breathing becomes the only heat I can feel against this coldness, an open wound continually dragging across asphalt
over and over again
my bones begin to disintegrate underneath defeated limbs, within the times I've told myself I'm okay, sorrow formed a foundation around my demons. these pretty lies had become my best friends, they gave wings to my broken spirit while once so bright, it had been extinguished by the sea that flowed between my grief.
all at once, the lies I've told possess mouths with razor-sharp teeth, and their deep-rooted fury has proliferated for what feels like a century that I've held them captive in my hands.

it has been 27 years since honesty was gifted the sun, while it burned her hands, she smiled and said,
"It is agonizing but it is so beautiful"
how much longer will I suffocate under the burden I've become?
"What, if some day or night a demon were to steal after you into your loneliest loneliness and say to you: ‘This life as you now live it and have lived it, you will have to live once more and innumerable times more; and there will be nothing new in it, but every pain and every joy and every thought and sigh and everything unutterably small or great in your life will have to return to you"
(Friedrich Nietzsche, 1882)
you used to sit on me and swing
cry and swing
laugh and swing
tell me of your dreams and fears
and love,
as we slipped back and forth
through the air
hung from the strong branches
of our tree

the ground beneath me
well worn dirt, surrounded by grass
The evidence of our days
and hours
carving out the earth together

I am still here,
tethered to this tree and waiting
the ground beneath me
growing greener and more empty

sometimes you will come
and sit on me again
and swing,
the beauty of purpose
flooding through me for a moment

but now when you swing
it is mostly quiet
like you are here but I am not
you do not speak to me,
do not dig in your heels and toes
scrape the dirt and push off-
the ground beneath me
forgets your feet as soon as you are gone

and I am still here,
tethered to this tree and waiting
the ground beneath me
growing green and empty

Empty room echoes,
Silent phone, no texts to share,
Lonely heart whispers.

No matter what I do
The loneliness comes in
She peeks through the window
And lifts up my chin.

No matter what I do
The loneliness is there
She looks at me sadly
And doesn’t seem to care

No matter what I do
The loneliness gets more
She wraps her arms around me
While I lay motionless on the floor
Trying to get back into writing

isolation has its familiarity,
as happiness is a drug
yet not as addicting as
misery.
god forbid this feeling of deserving this suffering.

What about tomorrow?
Tomorrow just ended today,
And will perish again tomorrow ,
Like the morning glory,
That drains alcohol to become sober,
And when,
everything that was
Sublimes in afternoon
The morning glory vapes itself into the evening,
Thinking of high planes, as falling stars
Wishing, but is turned into wisps,
As night falls,
The morning glory, withdrawn of all substance
Gets drunk with the multitude of mishaps,
And gradually dozes off in shadows
As all the wishes turn to wisps and drift away,
Another tomorrow ends all the same,
And tomorrow again,
The morning glory
will turn on the lights of yesterday to see,
As it imbibes, everything that was,
once again .
