Odd Odyssey Poet Apr 2022
Please pardon me; when I say, "it's all of me, all of me."
That's just the pride that swallows me; every time you love on
me, hug on me, each time we're cuddling, and snuggling. The
pretty scars look so ugh-gly; and that's not what I want my love
to be; honestly.

Making me wonder, "what the F," of the effort I'm taking; no
mistaking the fools of swine eating bacon. That's the charity
of clarity; giving your heart to all of the crowds, of all those
boys you met around. You've been around. Chasing circles
of where to be; as it seems. Dogs chasing tails; till it gets stuck
in your teeth. There's no peace, but the piece of sorrow; when your feelings were deceased. Diseased by the love sickness; as random kisses was the weakness to your knees.

I'm begging you please,

to stop pretending; that you're not trying to save up your worth
overspending; never-ending story of the people having the seconds of love's sequel. I'm a prequel to thought. What words are in the courts. All the illegal things that we bought; while breaking a few laws. I'm now allergic to a thought, of you giving me goosebumps in my pores.

I paused...

So you could stop playing my heart. Love loves to play with my
heart.

I paused...

Love loves to play with my heart.  Tell me when does it stop?

♥️   I had to play.
I had to play.
my stolen heart turned rot, to ***** ♠️

Twas me snubbed.
Twas me who snubbed.
♦️ And glittery diamonds to dirt, were clubbed.  ♣️

But I had to play.
            I had to play.
Cause he held all my cards anyway. 🃏
I had tried to run.
I tried to run.
We were not there for love, but fun.
  And I HAD to play.
               I had to play..
I was his.  lonely desperate slave.

    Now he's moved on..
                 He's moved on.
and left his pathetic, little pawn ♟
                       I'd had to play
                       I'd had to play.
so that from him, I could get away.

    He'd gotten bored
He got bored.
He wiped away our checkered board.
       Now he's not here.
                       He's not here.
But I'd do anything to feel him near.

                         Come play.
                         Come play.
A little weird but here you go.  I know its kinda missing flow.
but here you are, I give you this.  writing it i'll kind of miss.

That kiss of me, under the spring-time rain,
Upon your blooming cheek is gone today.
My lips feel cold, but in my burning brain,
That distant memory is warm as May.
I remember your hands all over me,
Rolling upon the summer-grass with joy,
Reawakening a passion of glee,
Taking back every movement that was coy.
It seemed as if we were released from chains
Of commitment, still having many seasons,
To be exploring love, without restrains,
But still held back, because of idle reasons.
We were quite broken by the loss of trust,
Wanting to forget, through a play of lust.

Don’t hide your words
use them and speak
Don’t bury the truth
and play hide and seek
Come out, come out
from wherever you are
Don’t hide behind lies
and be found a liar
For ready or not
the truth will come when
there’s no place to hide
and they’ve counted to ten

Love is but a game of false dice, sweet lies and oaths
to tame pretty rebels for astute, overmastering gentlemen
- harsh, dishonest and less in love, who loan affection with interest
and measure passion like coin recompense.

CH#64 - astute
BLT's Merriam-Webster Word of the Day Challenge #64 astute
definition: marked by practical hardheaded intelligence

I was reading about Ghislaine Maxwell’s conviction and thinking about Jeffery Epstein-ish kind of men. You know, every “love” poem looks at the “whole” of it from a certain angle on a certain morning *shrug*
I’m personally very pro-love, wait.. love ambivalent, no love thirsty - actually love allergic… I can’t decide. No rush =]

Happy New Year everyone!

It's like we’re playing chess.
Moving strategically, testing boundaries,
all while watching each other’s expression.

We all know how this games ends…
The queen destroys you and steals your heart.

should our demons meet
they could traverse
dimensions unknown to us
from the beginning;
i've never heard silence quite
louder and powerful than this
we're better off mind readers.

you are my forbidden fruit
so sweet until the notes of bitter bubble up
so perfect for me until your other side shows up
duality, inability
to see beyond your own body, beyond your own needs
what am I to you?
what am I if I do or don't?
you tried to tie me down, tried to quiet my own
voice, displeased with my need for reciprocity
to engulfed in your hypocrisy
I almost lost me, in your rapids, distractions
too many factors, actors, and games
too much struggle, rebuttals, and vain
so much vanity you drove me insane
and I have never driven a day in my life
