You're dancing on a pile of corpses
A pile of people succumbed to your act
An act of need, need of companionship
Need of love and compassion
Need for happiness
But an act all the same.

You're not a good actor
Or, at least not to me
I'm sitting here watching as you lie through your teeth
As you sly and swindle your way into innocent hearts
I sit and I watch searching for your trick
Your "skill"
The thing you're using to trick and deceive
Since you're tricking many
Many, except
For me.

Sometimes I think about you.

I know it's been a while,
But there are these times that
You just cross my mind,
A glimpse of what was,
What could've been.

I remember those
Cold afternoons in your
Dorm room,
Your arms wrapped around mine
On your sofa couch,
Watching some cool movie
I had never been hip to before,
The laughter bouncing off our chests,
Reverberating against the off-white cement walls,
****** and maybe a little drunk,
But mostly just high off of our chemistry.

You were someone so different to me,
So full of stories of mischief and misunderstandings;
I used to get lost in your words,
Hanging onto every slightly twanged syllable.

You told me your secrets.
I let you unzip me,
Physically and mentally,
Seduced me so with your blue eyes
That I didn't even mind that you
Smoked cigarettes.

Months that felt like eternities
As I stumbled into a kind of love
I still don't comprehend,
So fleeting yet the moments
I spent with you
Are so vivid,
Sometimes so that I
Can almost feel the
Softness of your full lips...

You might just be that cliche,
That one
Who somehow got away.

I unlocked your mind you know
just to see what I could see
And if you promise to pay the postage
I'll mail you back the key.

Have you ever...

Heard a color? Seen a sound?
Smelled a thought, or all around,
Traversed an inward universe,
Where waves of mind abound?

Have you ever...

Climbed upon a ray of light,
Ascending towards the peak, and
Visited a place, of which
Mere words could never speak?

Have you ever,

Felt yourself expanding,
Out into the atmosphere, and
Glimpsed your tiny world below,
While laughing at your fear?

Have you ever...

Stepped outside that little box,
The one that some call "you?" and
Probed the depths, to question
Why you do the things you do?

Well,

...have you?

it found you

Life is an illusion,
Truly an illusion:
The dream, the quest for reality
The curiosity, the quest for reality.

This time, this time

it doesn’t feel like he’s mine.

This time, this time

he walks without a spine.

Straight through your mind

to tangle thoughts into winds.

This time this time

it doesn’t feel like he’s mine.

This time, this time

he walks without a spine.

Straight through your mind

to tangle thoughts into winds

and as you heartbeat falls behind

you find he’s ticking on without a care.

He’s everywhere, anything and many

things even I  wouldn’t dare to dream of.

Each is lost to his taking

Even when clocks hands

are braking or the earth is shaking.

Our fathers rather impatient.

And in that spirit I’m not waiting

To Catch And To **** Time.

Some will follow the projections

of a hollow blue light.

Others run without direction-

off into the black night.

To catch and to **** time,

Detach his head,

rip out his spine

sending him wandering

as clueless as us.

Whats next? Whats up ahead?

Whats round the bend?

Have I got another minute

or is there just a second to lend.

Some say
That one's eyes
Is a way
To see their true self.
Their
  emotions,
      thoughts,
           and
feelings.
But is it really so?

So many people
want to see
this.
They want to know.
They need to know.

For the phrase
"look me in the eyes"
is so widely used
yet
When we look
Do we really see?

Knowing is scary
But...
Not knowing is even scarier

Knowing makes you impure
Not knowing makes you pure

Knowledge is scary,but
Not knowing is unbearable

That is curiosity
