We all have flaws,
No matter how pure a heart
it is still human.
No matter how hard you strive to be perfect
you'll always be flawed,
but  that's just perfect.

that I have to escape to nightmares?
hell yeah it is
You love them
With all your heart and soul
Yet, you can't be with them
But you'll never let them go...
And it hurts...
Trust me, I know...
People... Stay strong
Someone better may come along
You're thinking..
"But, they're the one I want"
I've thought this too,
Still do...
"Unrequited Love: Life's way of saying you can do better"
But, even if you never end up together
You can still be there for each other
Sometimes, love can be one sided
Don't let that divide you
If you love someone for selfish reasons
Then you love them not at all
Cause when they don't return the love,
A true love will be there to catch them when they fall
Will care, laugh and respect every wish
Will listen after every date, hit or miss
Will wipe away the tears
And brush off the knees
Stick around through the best and worst years
Be a shoulder, when they need somewhere to lean
They may never love you back
Even when you know they should
Love's not meant to be selfish
It's about doing what's right and good

It feels like forever ago since your eyes burned into mine; I haven't felt alive since.
I ache for you, when I can't sleep my 3.am thoughts always spiral back to you.
You
You
You
I was broken, bruised and burned, but I would give so much to have it all again, to feel my bones ignite with life and my blood to pump with such intensity that had escaped my body.
I would give so much just to feel, once more.
I know you are happy now, without me in your life, but I can't help that my being is yearning for you.
You have never felt further away. The words that get caught in my throat are the words I didn't say to you that linger, which suffocate and choke the fragmented sentences that I can piece together. But it is the closest thing that I have to your memory and how it made me feel seeing your eyes roar wildly into the night.
I will forever be tarnished with a void that can only be filled by you; but I will learn to live without you.

At least we are looking under the same stars.
And I see you in ever single spark that lights up our sky.

He opened the binding of The Weeping Book
curiousity piqued, he needed to look
but how he wished he had never seen
the horrors therein that were so obscene.

The guilt of man along the passage of time
senseless slaughter without reason or rhyme
each page he turned ill had been done
by book possessed he ventured on.

The **** and pillage of those years before
children the victims of violent war
races were mixed, the one good thing
vicious hecklers of bigotry sing.

On and on through the pages now
the hurt caused pain behind his brow
saints and sinners all listed here
their sins for all to see quite clear.

He saw the vilest sins of history's pain
enslavement of those for other's gain
let loose man's done some terrible things
hope's voice is quelled by vicious stings.

The Weeping Book so perfect in name
from front to end it's full of shame
and he a priest of noble birth
would find before day's end, his worth.

No water passed his lips, nor food
his mind so troubled by soured mood
and then the page on which he gazed
revealed the future of a man gone crazed.

No change could he make to the book
transfixed at his poor fate he'd look
and as he pushed the dagger deep
as fate revealed he went to sleep.

The Weeping Book then slammed tight shut
till guilty man next came and put
his hand upon the tome's dark cover
then his sad fate he'd soon discover.

tell me that you'll love me
even when my skin wrinkles
and my hair is thin.
tell me that you'll love me
when my knees go weak
and my laugh is shallow.
tell me that you'll love me
even when my eyes are sinking and there is no longer a flame.
tell me that you'll love me
when we're old and all we have left is the memories from
when you told me you loved me.

(12:20am thoughts)

"We were together for two years and at the
time it seemed like an eternity. It wasn't until
you were gone for four years that I learned what
an eternity felt like. Time is supposed to heal
all wounds, instead it's just made fresh ones; time
has taught me what it really means to miss someone.
To miss how their eyes seem brighter when they
smile, the way they laugh, their voice when they're
tired and all the little things that annoyed you at one
point. They all seem like distant memories, decades away
and always just a little too far from my reach.
They're slipping through my fingers like the sand within
the hourglass that's counting down every second since
you've been gone."

And at night,
When my fingers meet the keyboard
Or
When the ink hits the paper

Is when my mind betrays me,
Spilling all the secrets I wish to keep,
The words I wish to remain untold,
The letters I wish to remain unsent,
And
The love I wish to remain hidden
