I Have Loved
All the same and very different, I have loved.

Cocoa crescendo falling in curls. yellow hibiscus. Her face inspiring Gaia.  I grazed across far-reaching hips and dreamt them, as wide and beautiful her heart I broke.
I have loved ruthlessly.

Clammy, moist, latte flesh juxtaposed with misplaced contention, clutching his phone, clutching his fist in my belly, in my hand.
I have loved painfully.

Keen wit, quiet lips, silk and skin and video games. 20 minute car rides. A tongue across my spine, laughter, distance of his heart.
I have loved haphazardly.

Three hundred faces, unspoken sentiment, inactive resonance, a child, a man, a mother, a friend.
I love quietly.

All the same and very different, I have loved.

Will I again?

She leans against a pine
Slightly above the head,
Her left hand raised,
Touching the tree bark

Her elbow points to my direction,
Her eyes beam with youth,
And her smile warming my cold heart

I feel it beep once again
From one to a thousand,
Rapidly to a zillion,
And I know then,

That I have fallen hard
For the pretty face before me
Partially covered by long dreads falling

Her lips appear so luscious,
A deep red like a ruby
Reflecting the last rays of the sun
Before hiding behind the  mountains

Darkness covers us so fast,
Like a dark cloud spreading a plague
And yet, my delight dies not

But burns bright like a flame,
Of a piece of wood in the jungle
Suddenly blown out by the malicious winds

Then, reality appears to me like a ghost.
In blue and white,
Like, comment, tag
Big letters, "Facebook"

To which I now see,
It was just a pic
slammed...

A gas giant
nine times the size
of the planet we call home.
175,000 miles of ice rings,
spanning almost the same distance
between our world and the moon.
With the ability to contain
764 Earths,
Saturn makes our planet seem
microscopic.
Our world
is so large to us,
yet so small
to other planets.
And even smaller
to the universe.
Seemingly endless solar systems,
galaxies,
and light years
composed of dark energy
and matter
make you look
insignificant.
this is another poem i wrote last semester and it's about saturn, my favorite planet.
seas receive
thousand cries

stifled sighs
broken ties

silent tales
held within

cache sounds
unheard din

breakers come
to incite

endless rite
pointless fight

tall he stands
resolute

rocklike form
absolute

striding on
ancient seas

takes her due
gradually

steals his hold
stealthily

firmament
casts its spell

undermines
with each swell

strategy
crystallized

her control's
minimized

empyreal
victory

behemoth
must agree

all it takes
is a move

change his stance
he can prove

though the seas
snarl and pout

in the end
there's no doubt

while there's worth
status tall

at some point
we may fall

think ahead
where we be

lest we're trapped
in some sea
