Valsa George
Oh, my Father in Heaven
Guarding me from all perils and trials
And sets my heart free of all clutter
For you, my songs of praise, I reserve

All my life, I shall sing
Without fail, in bloom or gloom
On every unfolding day
Through months and years
Till death and beyond
Let my songs sail across the skies
And with the chorus of the heavenly band, unite

Oh, the benevolent Lord of all creation
Custodian of all wealth
Contriver of birth and death
The Master Crafts man
Everything is your handiwork.

The lofty mounts
Veiled in misty snow
The verdant dales
Lush and still
The fathomless deep
Where mysteries peep
All the flowers
That bloom and wither
All things
Bright and beautiful
Everything, above and below
In all,
Let me behold thy grace
And sing Thee praise!

Oh! Redeemer of Mankind
Guide me through the dark
Guard my steps where dangers lurk
Hold my hand
And never loosen your grip

Make me face the light
Illumine me with wisdom serene
And fill me with love divine;
So that you be glorified
Here, on Earth
And in Heaven be!

Phantom Poet
I write poems because,
Poets are the people,
Who understand how i feel,
How it is like to love,
To lose it,
I write my madness,
Craziness,
Faithfulness,
And like many artists,
My loneliness,
Poets don't criticize,
Like the rest of the world,
They may smile,
Or cry reading,
But never be leaving,
An insult,
Because they understand,
They know the pain,
They feel it,
When i have a problem,
I have no one to share with,
No friends,
Not siblings,
Definitely not my family,
I turn to poetry,
I can write what i want,
I write what i feel,
I write out my troubles,
Rhyming words,
In small thought bubbles,
And crying inside,
No one to sit beside,
No one to hold,
Everything is cold,
Poetry is the only thing,
Keeping me alive,
it helps me survive!
The truth has been spoken

Autumn Rose
The night was dark,
faded shadows
of midnight blue.
For the moon
refuses to shine
upon me, where
the willow tree
weeps bitterly.
Can't you see
I'm lonely?
Oh Harvest Moon,
so high above
that broken diamond
necklace.
I wonder why you
keep away, leaving
me so lonely,
On lonely nights
when only the stars
shine brighter.
Oh please,shine on
upon me,
Do not hide,
Oh Harvest Moon...

Qweyku
Sometimes the rain falls
as if its penning poetry
to the rhythm of its own music;
a sonic tune of liquid tapestry.

Cleft from a sky immersed
in the scene of a tragedy.
It's tears,
the pitter-patter;
a solemn dance
for all humanity.

An ancient jig this fluid frolic
never tiring of its endless cycle
vesting and revisiting this terra firma
like a lover emasculating the earth
of its desert state,
or adding to its oceans
in a bid to be free.

But you’re here again, I’ve noticed
for even through windows
your music plays a clamorous
and rather brazen beat.

Take my hand, why don’t you?

Come.

Dance with me.

Poets are assassins
Words wound and ****
Cut open arteries
Spilling life blood
Sharpening and refining words
Honing them to a killing edge

Poets are sorcerers
Words; their incantation
Grammar; their arcane ritual
Sentences turn into spells
Transforming you into someone else
Teleporting you to a distant place

Few poets are prophets
Gifted and cursed with visions
Vessels to be filled
Conduits waiting for lightning to strike

Poets are codebreakers
Deciphering life's enigmas
Translating experiences into words
Skilled technicians
Finding the right words
For exactly the right moments
