Ios
We barely made it out
with our fraying threads

For the time we spent
Your spirit had our bodies to rent

Centuries from now (I am sure)
You will remember your friends

Flocking to spend
Night lasts forever here
Bodies moving, living paint smears

Can you see us?
Do you accept our offering?
Gatherer of the hopes we bring

Ios, Ios, Ios,
Spelled three letters out for me
One night spans a life

The afternoon ferry's a lonely walk
Limestone paint whimpers in restraint
Share and revel and mock

Your spirit will never leave
And it calls "Don't go!"
Cry out, Ios

Oh iOS, dreary titan of technology!
An SOS, hidden in secret typology!
Oh woe is me, tragic symphonic melancholy

Heaven would see, and hell would hear

Error! Error! The bleak message read
Death marches slow, overlord of dread

¿Hay algo en esta vida
Toda dolores,
Más tierno que los niños
Y que las flores?
¿Hay símbolo más dulce,
Más elocuente,
Que diga lo que el alma
Callando siente?
Mirad... cierran el campo
Los horizontes;
Son murallas azules
Los altos montes.
En sus cimas se posa
La blanca nube
Que del tranquilo lago
Ligera sube.
El sol quiebra sus rayos
En la cascada,
Y ios vientos suspiran
En la enramada.
Sobre el enhiesto roble
Tosco y severo,
Entre las verdes hojas
Canta el jilguero.
La parvada de tordos
Rauda se aleja,
Y en los lirios azules
Zumba la abeja.
Luce el granado flores
Como escarlata,
Las azucenas fingen
Copas de plata;
Y en naranjos que mecen
Doradas pomas,
Cantoras de la tarde
Son las palomas.
Al son de los arroyos
Murmuradores
Se duelen y se plañen
Los ruiseñores,
Y en los alegres prados
Y en las colinas,
¡Qué alegres van y vuelven
Las golondrinas!
¡Cómo brillan los rayos
Del sol fecundo!
¡Qué jardín tan risueño
Parece el mundo!
Es porque está de gala
Natura entera;
Es porque está reinando
La Primavera,
Y no hay en esta vida,
Toda dolores,
Nada tan expresivo
Como las flores.
Una flor en el pecho
Del ser amado,
Es la llave de un cielo
Siempre anhelado.
Allí encuentra la vida
Que el alma quiere,
Y al fuego de esa vida
Marchita muere.
Que así en amores miran
Los corazones,
Morir como las rosas
Las ilusiones.
En la iglesia más pobre,
Más solitaria,
Es un ramo de flores
Una plegaria:
Que sus hojas que adornan
El templo santo
La fe las humedece
Con tierno llanto;
Y la fe con sus alas
De raudo vuelo,
Oración y perfume
Remonta al cielo.
Cual corona de estrellas
Los azahares
Brillan en blancas frentes
En los altares:
¿Qué diadema más digna
De la belleza?
¿Qué símbolo más tierno
De la pureza?...
¡Ay! también en las tumbas
Las flores crecen;
Ni se cansan, ni olvidan,
Ni desfallecen.
Allí, lejos del brillo
Del mundo vano,
Crecen sobre la madre,
Sobre el hermano.
Que el manto del olvido
La tumba envuelva:
Sobre él tiende sus flores
La madreselva.
La memoria de un muerto
Queda perdida;
La flor es una hermana
Que nunca olvida,
Y de la helada tumba
Bajo el abrigo,
Dice al que duerme solo:
«Yo estoy contigo».
¡Ay! son flores hermosas
Las ilusiones
Que embriagan y adormecen
Los corazones.
Allá en la Primavera
¡Cuántas nacieron!
Unas se marchitaron,
Otras se fueron,
Y sobre elcampo estéril
De los dolores,
Son cardos los recuerdos:
¡Qué tristes flores!
El campo que hoy alegra
La luz del día,
Lo secará diciembre
Con mano fría;
Pero pronto, a ios besos
Del sol ardiente,
Tornará su belleza
Más esplendente.
Y abrirán sus nectarios
En las corolas,
Los lirios, las violetas,
Las amapolas.
Tendrá rumor la fuente,
Aroma el prado,
El jardín mariposas,
Fruto el granado;
Y sonarán los cantos
Dulces, sentidos,
De avecillas que pueblen
Los nuevos nidos.
Así también el alma
Que sufre y llora,
Tras de la negra noche
Tiene su aurora.
A cuántos bellos nombres
Su luz alcanza
Se llama fe, ventura,
Gloria, esperanza;
Que si son cual invierno
Las decepciones,
¡Tienen su primavera
Las ilusiones!
Se llora una esperanza
Que se derrumba,
Y luego crecen flores
Sobre su tumba.
Fecunda el alma humana
Como la tierra,
Gérmenes de ventura
Constante encierra,
Y halla, para consuelo
De sus dolores:
¡La mujer! ¡La más bella
Flor de las flores!

Its length is known as “one year” by realists,
Also referred to as “anniversary” by idealists,
But “four seasons” is how I would like to call it
As with the passing of time I learn him bit by bit.

We met in front of Record Hall
On a rainy night and boy did I fall
For this one man named Timothy
Who approached me differently.

We first found each other online
But he was unlike the other swine
Looking for a body and easy ***,
Trying to buy me with their checks.

Plus, he did not follow the ordinary formula
Like “coffee sometime?” which is just so blah;
Rather, he proved that he had read my profile
Attentively, so I imagined he must not be vile.

He did not mention or imply anything ******,
So I started to credit him some trust accrual;
He opened us up by relating to my stories
And spoke smoothly with sarcastic ease.

I fell for his chivalry and charm
As well as his unstinted smarm,
His passion for engines and parts,
Never giving up until it all starts.

He won me over with his corny memes,
Matching weirdness, and future schemes;
His unfaltering boldness and fearlessness,
Manliness, and, in due course, closeness.

A spontaneous boy who does puzzles with me,
A romantic gentleman who invites me to the sea,
A free-spirited dude who is a spirits connoisseur,
An audacious chap who is a cooking amateur –

He has a nerdy side as he likes to figure things out.
He has a masculine side as he enjoys working out.
He has a brave side as he goes off-roading in his Jeep.
He has a sweet side as he pulls me closer in his sleep.

He slyly squeezes out my personal info
From myself and makes me go “Woah,”
As he discreetly plans adventurous trips
Which makes me want to ****** his lips.

He is not afraid or disinclined to reveal his worries.
He is not abashed to update me on his **** stories.
He was not nervous about exposing his cover letter.
He was not anxious about taking me to his mother.

Weight? He does not ask me to gain any or lose.
Change? He needs not fix or loosen my screws.
He takes me as I am, not as a mechanical robot.
He finds sufficiency in all that I do and have got.

He does not care that I wear makeup or look like a dude.
He does not complain that I take long to finish my food.
He disregards that I do not adhere to societal standards.
He discounts that I occasionally think and act backwards.

He makes me relax and loosen up in his presence;
He emits a homely atmosphere and is my defense.
Hell, we even start doing ***** lovey-dovey acts
Such as calling each other’s names in several packs.

He uses his witty senses to title my works,
Which, to other people, may stir up smirks,
But he does not give two ***** about them;
As long as we represent to each other, a gem.

We are compatible and agree in many manners;
We are avid Android users, not iOS supporters,
We take pleasure in dallying under the covers,
We enjoy mysteries and psychological thrillers.

We follow a handful of seasonal anime together
And we tend to swiftly marathon them altogether.
We even have our own convenient organization
In times when we watch anime together in elation.

He asks, “wanna watch” when there is an update
And picks a title; I agree and say “ready” and wait;
He says “go,” I thumb him, we watch simultaneously;
Then, whoever finishes first sends a thumb amiably.

He tries to pass time with me after work so demanding
So he sometimes falls asleep and leaves me hanging.
However, he impresses me in still choosing to be dutiful
All the while exhibiting humanness, which is beautiful.

I am pleased that we have similar likes and interests,
Glad that both tally with “real love will stand any tests,”
Blessed that both are open to expressing affection,
Thankful that we are looking in the same direction.

Even apart, I admire his strong patience,
Extending over many hours and nations!
Oh, I almost forgot – he is also tall and fit;
The more I think, he has it all – you name it!

The list of what I love about him keeps growing,
With things to cherish constantly overflowing;
I cannot expect more or imagine anyone better,
So I find myself dedicating to him this love letter.

Gosh, how I miss our sessions of wine and cheese,
Cinematic baths and interlacing, candlelit bodies,
Our woolgathering moaning and perspiring mess,
Many nameless moments and silent togetherness!

April 6, 2015, on OkCupid, he gave me a look;
April 11, 2015, he “friended” me on Facebook;
April 15, 2015, he suggested meeting up to study;
April 18, 2015, he dated me and became cuddly.

All this from last year… one year forward, today,
We are still together and have not gone astray –
As long-term and long-distance partners, we are
In the hardest, yet happiest, relationship by far!
I miss him, my other half, my home, very dearly.
I am thankful for his being, loving, and waiting for me.
A question that should be on
Your mind this evening is why?
Why are the people of Greece--
Why is the nation of Greece--getting
Spanked & punished by their EU
German & French economic overlords?
We should be saluting tonight’s
Referendum NO vote results,
The Greek electorate voting against another
Devastating round of economic sanctions,
Voting NO on more years of austere living.
In fact, it should be U.S. foreign policy to
Support complete Greek withdrawal from
The European Union. That’s right:
“Euro No, Drachma naí!”
The EU is fiscal tyranny,
Led by the EU autocrats,
Angela Merkel & whomever is sitting in the
French baby high chair these days.
Isn’t it a strange coincidence that the
EU whip, always seems to be cracking on
Their swarthier brethren,
Their southern European members,
The Spaniards, Portuguese, Italians &,
The Greeks.
The Greeks have had enough.
One would expect nothing less from
These fiercely independent
Hellenistic people.
And you can **** the Greek people
Up their ***** all you want &
Many of them might like it, but
The Greeks will survive,
Survive as they have for nearly 3,000 years,
Give or take a Kalamata olive or two.
We breathe the air of Greek culture,
Deep respiration of so much of
What we still call learning these days.
We owe the Greeks: it was
Greek inception of so much
Math & science &
Countless other right-brain
Spatial ability & logical precision; not to
Mention so many left-brain contributions in
Sociology & ethics,
Politics & democratic government,
Geography & religion,
Education & philosophy,
Sculpture & art, philosophy,
Live theater & literature.
We owe the Greeks.
Had we interceded with the Brits on Greece’s behalf,
Reminding them that we bailed out their sorry ***-cheeks
After two 20th Century world wars, perhaps
The British Museum might have Fedexed
The so-called Elgin Marbles--
Those boosted friezes,
Jacked right off the
Parthenon façade,
Should have Fedexed them back to
"Eleftherios Venizelos,"
Decades ago.
George’s wife, that foxy babe
Amal Clooney sure thinks so.
We owe the Greeks.
The world owes the Greeks.
Let us all help the Greeks.
Let’s encourage them to quit the EU.
To Greeks I say: trust & patience,
You’ve got the sun.
You’ve got the sea.
A clean white landscape,
Ouzo & Retsina,
Spanakopita & Moussaka.
The Greek Islands:
Crete & Mykonos,
Santorini & Corfu,
Rhodes & Ios
Samos & ****** . . .
We owe you.
We love you.
We will come to you.
Más gallarda que el nenúfar
Que sobre las verdes ondas,
Al soplo del manso viento
Se mece al rayar la aurora,
Es una linda doncella
Que tiene por nombre Rosa,
Y a fe que no hay en los campos
Igual a sus gracias otra.
Vive en Pátzcuaro, en la Villa
De hermoso lago señora,
Lago que retrata un cielo
Limpio y azul, donde flotan
Blancas nubes que semejan
Grupos de errantes gaviotas.

Está en la flor de la vida,
No empaña ninguna sombra
Las primeras ilusiones
Con que el amor ia corona
Ama Rosa y es amada
Con un amor que no estorban
Sus padres, porque comprenden
Que ei joven que para esposa
La pretende, nobies prendas
Y honrado nombre atesora.
Cuentan ios que io conocen
Que tal mérito le abona,
Que no hay otro que le iguale
Cien leguas a la redonda.

Y aunque alabanza de amigo
Pueda tacnarse de impropia,
Nadie niega que remando
Tiene ei alma generosa;
Que sus riquezas divide
Con ios que sufren y lloran,
Que es tan bravo, que el peligro
Desdeña y jamas provoca,
Pero io humilla y io vence
Cuando en su camino asoma.

No hay jinete más garboso
Ni más diestro, porque asombra
Cuando de potro rebelde
Los fieros ímpetus doma,
Y es tan amable en su trato,
Tan cumplido en su persona,
Tan generoso en sus hechos
Y tan resuelto en sus obras,
Que la envidia no se atreve
Con su lengua ponzoñosa
A manchar su justa fama
Cuando cualquiera lo nombra.

Ya se prepara la fiesta,
Cercanas están las bodas.
Los padres cuentan los días,
Los prometidos las horas;
Los amigos se disponen
Para obsequiar a la novia
Dando brillo con sus galas
A la nupcial ceremonia.
Y aunque es tiesta de familia
Por suya el pueblo la toma.
Y en llevarla bien al cabo
Se empeña la Villa toda.
¡Con qué profunda tristeza
Vive Rosa en su retiro!
Está pálida su frente
Y están sus ojos sin brillo;
De la noche a la mañana
Corre de su llanto el hilo,
Sus padres sufren con ella
Y están tristes y abatidos.

No le da el sueño descanso
Ni el sol le procura alivio,
Que son la luz y las sombras
Para el que sufre lo mismo.
Está muy lejos Fernando,
Muy lejos y en gran peligro
Por que al llegar de la boda
El instante apetecido,
Invadió como un torrente
La ciudad el enemigo.

El pabellón del imperio
Halla en Patzcuaro un asilo,
Los franceses se apoderan
Del sosegado recinto,
Su ley imponen a todos,
Subyugan al pueblo altivo,
Y Fernando en su caballo,
De pocos hombres seguido,
Sale a buscar la bandera
Que veneró desde niño,
Y que agita en las montañas
El viento del patriotismo.

Ni el amor ni la esperanza
Le cerraron el camino,
Que ciego a todo embeleso
Y sordo a todo atractivo,
La Patria, sólo la Patria
En tales horas ha visto,
Y por ella deja todo
A salvarla decidido.

Rosa se queda llorando
Y como agostado lirio,
No hay fuerza que la levante
Ni sol que le infunda brío;
De su amoroso Fernando
Sólo sabe lo que han dicho;
Fue a la guerra y lo conoce,
Firme, noble y decidido;
Lo sueña entre los primeros
Que acometen los peligros;
Sabe que en todos los casos,
Entre muerte y servilismo
Ha de preferir la muerte
Que es vida para los dignos
Y con profunda tristeza
Vive Rosa en su retiro
Sin consuelo ni descanso,
Sin esperanza ni alivio,
Que son la luz y las sombras
Para el que sufre lo mismo.
A la habitación de Rosa,
Al rayar de la mañana
Llega un indígena humilde
Que viene de la montaña,
Y sin despertar sospechas
Cruzó por las avanzadas
Trayendo un papel oculto
En su sombrero de palma.
En hablar con Rosa insiste
Cuando de oponerse tratan
Sus padres que en todo miran
Espionajes y asechanzas.
Oye la joven las voces
Y con interés indaga,
Porque el corazón le dice
Que la nueva será grata,
Y lo confirma mirando
Que al borde de su ventana
Un «salta-pared» ligero
Tres veces alegre canta,
Nuncio de buena fortuna
Del pueblo entre las muchachas.

Llama al indio presurosa,
Este con faz animada
La saluda, y del sombrero
Descose la tosca falda,
Y de allí con mano firme
Saca y le entrega una carta
Que vino tan escondida,
Que a ser otro no la hallara.

Rosa trémula no acierta
En su gozo a desplegarla
Y ya febril e impaciente
Tanta torpeza le enfada;
Abre al fin y reconoce
Que Fernando se la manda
Y en cortas frases le dice,
Esto que en su pecho guarda:

«Mi único amor, vida mía,
Mi pasión, alma del alma,
No puedo vivir sin verte,
Que sin ti todo me falta;
Y aunque tu amor me da aliento
Y tu recuerdo me salva,
Tengo sed de tu presencia,
Tengo sed de tus palabras.

»Hoy por fortuna muy cerca
Me encuentro de tu morada,
Y he de verte aunque se oponga
Todo el poder de la Francia.

»Esta noche, a media noche
Antes de rayar el alba,
Para verme y para hablarme
Asómate a la ventana.

»Adiós vida de mi vida
No tengas miedo, y aguarda
Al que adora tu recuerdo
Luchando entre las montañas».
Es pasada media noche,
Reina profundo silencio
Que sólo interrumpe a veces
El ladrido de los perros,
O el grito del centinela
Que lleva perdido el viento.

En su ventana está Rosa,
Entre las sombras queriendo
Penetrar con la mirada
De sus grandes ojos negros,
Las tinieblas que sepultan
Los callejones estrechos.

Para no inspirar sospechas
Oscuro está su aposento,
Y ni a suspirar se atreve
Por no vender su secreto.

De súbito, escucha pasos
Cautelosos a lo lejos,
Y al oírlos no le cabe
El corazón en el pecho.

Entre las sombras divisa
Algo que tomando cuerpo
A la ventana se llega
Y casi con el aliento,
Le dice: -Prenda del alma.
Aquí estoy-.
                    ¡Bendito el cielo!-
Contesta Rosa y las manos
En la oscuridad tendiendo
Halla el rostro de su amante
Que las cubre con sus besos.
-¿Dudabas de que viniera?
-¿Como dudar, si yo creo
Cuanto me dices lo mismo
Que si fuera el Evangelio?
-¡Tantas semanas sin verte!
-¡Tanto tiempo!
                        -¡Tanto tiempo!

-Pero temo por tu vida...
-No temas, Dios es muy bueno.
Ahora dime que me amas,
A que me lo digas vengo
Y a decirte que te adoro...
-¿Más que yo a ti, cuando siento
Hasta de la misma patria
El aguijón de los celos?
No te culpo, mi Fernando,
No te culpo, bien has hecho
Pero dudo y me atormenta
Pensar que esconde tu seno
Amor más grande que el mío
Y otro vínculo más tierno.

Escúchame: si algún día
Merced a tu noble esfuerzo,
Victoriosa tu bandera,
Por héroe te aclama el pueblo,
Yo disputaré a tu frente
Ese laurel, porque tengo
Ante la patria que gime,
Para adquirirlo derecho;
Tú, sacrificas tu vida,
Yo, débil mujer, le ofrezco,
Alentando tu constancia,
Todo el amor que te tengo.
¡Ay Fernando! ¿tú no mides
Este sacrificio inmenso?
Y al decir así, la mano
Atrajo del guerrillero
Y con su llanto al bañarla
La oprimió contra su pecho.
Limpia despunta la aurora
Y en la ventana Fernando
No se atreve a despedirse
Sin hacer del tiempo caso.

Mas de pronto, por la esquina,
Sobre fogoso caballo,
De la brida conduciendo
Un potro alazán tostado,
Un guerrillero aparece
Con el mosquete en la mano.

Acércase a la pareja,
Aquel coloquio turbando,
Y dirigiéndose al joven
Le dice: «Mi Jefe, vamos,
Monte, que nos han sentido
Y somos dos contra tantos».

-iVete, por Dios!-grita Rosa.
Salta a su corcel Fernando,
Toma su pistola, besa
A la doncella en los labios,
Y a tiempo que se despide,
Por un callejón cercano
Desembocan en desorden
Argelinos y zuavos.
-iAlto!-gritan los que vienen.
-¡Primero muerto que dado!-
Contesta el otro y se lanza
Para abrir en ellos paso...
Suenan discordantes gritos,
Y se escuchan los disparos
Y álzanse nubes de polvo
De los pies de los soldados;
Y al punto que Rosa enjuga
Sus ojos que anubla el llanto,
Ya mira como se alejan
A galope por el campo,
Libres de sus enemigos,
Ei asistente y Fernando.
Algunos años más tarde,
Y cuando pagó a su patria
La deuda de sus servicios
Y la vió libre y sin mancha,
Volvió Fernando a sus lares;
Colgó en el hogar su espada,
Y no quiso ser soldado
Después de triunfar su causa;
Que fue guerrero del pueblo,
Luchador en la montaña,
De los que sólo combaten
Si está en peligro la Patria.

Entonces cumplióle a Rosa
Sus ofertas más sagradas,
Y fue la boda una fiesta
Popular, risueña y franca.

Al verlos salir del templo,
Según refiere la fama,
Recordando aquellas frases
De la inolvidable carta,
Formando vistoso grupo
A las puertas de su casa,
Las más bonitas del pueblo,
Las más festivas muchachas,
Con melancólicas notas
(Que a nuestros tiempos alcanzan
En canción que «Los Capiros»
En Michoacán se la llama),
Al compás de las vihuelas,
De esta manera cantaban:

«Esta noche a media noche,
Y antes que llegue mañana
Si oyes que al pasar te silbo
Asómate a tu ventana».

[rage typing doesn't work with auto correct]
She accidentally looked back into eternity and it is telling her things. Constantly questioning whether it could have been on purpose. She wishes it had told her about the day that she went missing for too long. She is still missing. Missing so many things that happen and those as close as possible. She is missing them too.

She existed to be this close to missing everyone forever. Everyone missing her forever. Missing her orange kisses and purple thoughts. He left messages in blue in her thoughts. To see if it could make a shady spot in the bright yellow sun.  This is where they would sit and possibly lay down. There were so many shimmering waves in the grass that loose clothing rippled. Her dress was waving to clouds being emptied by the sunshine.

If they were to lay in bent grass blades could it be the last time. The last time the blades bent back and the feeling of beauty penetrating hearts couldn’t let go. The last thing they could ever want. No turning back. Time is bending the blanket.

Time decided to take some space to itself. To get back to nature and living with things we cannot stop. Life kept being left in the street with holes made in it by fear and hatred that is white. Life kept being told by whiteness that is was not real.

In this space that time took to itself the institution of white needed to become colorful like rainbows and hadn’t documented in its constitution that it needs to become different shapes and sounds that may be hard for it to resonate with while investing in such militant social systems of oppression overflowed from slavery in order to become a space other than time allows for a short duration yet brutally eternal and ending now as today unfolds and life proves it is real as time rips it apart openly and its institution of white judges itself into the panic of being so insensitive that vengeance has no other shapes, colors or sounds to choose other than violet revolt.

Violet made handprints in clay as a small child while reserving words for family that were taken from her. She smiled into the abyss of pleading that is too late for forgiveness. A silence of the white institution that could no longer be a burden in space for time to want anything to do with it ever again. Violet was intimate with the space that time took to itself. She nourished it with colors, intelligence, senses, shapes, love, merciless unforgiving power and purple thoughts were always encouraged.

Violet’s orange kisses burned into the early morning making the institution of whiteness a kind of blue. All that was left of it was confused and squinting at the colors of its new shape. It was demanding to know how long the spell had been on them and what to do now. Violent explained in senses and climate changing shapes of darkness and bright red lava and flashing pink clouds that there is no now.

part 2

I hope you like my shape of communication. I hope you can appreciate the brutality of the beauty in decomposing the unnecessary manifestation of apocalypse. The writer wants you to know its him. The narrator wants you to know its her. The sentence is time taking space to itself. Grammar is more of a blue than purple. The shape is the sense of confusion which is also the ****** of realizing eternity. The details are up to your imagination not mine or the author or writer or {[(black/white)[(black women/white women) + during slavery and after] + (Americans) (to make the *** trade of slavery possible) (political intellectually engineered institution)] [(mixed race) (native)(black African) (the rest of the world not isolating themselves in the social construction of whiteness)]} = having to create my own language because I don’t exist like I need to in the institution of whiteness (I have to feel it more than it feels me) that has a completely different meaning and purpose of imagined structure or patterns or symbols that outnumbers mathematics that are statistical boundaries invested in with the language that power is behind it somewhere that can only be found by using it.

Its uncomfortable for me to write the things I feel without feeling the need to prove their value to you. To build a relationship and undo it before we get to comfortable with each other. I know that you will never forget this during all your desperate imagination of reading and life. A thread that is undeniable through shapes colors and sounds but grammarless rhythm with more sensual texture than colonial organization and its friend decolonization making love instead of war most of the time.

So this again is why time has taken space to itself. The shapes of objectification in our solar system layering our consciousness with objectifying existence in space unimaginably vast and then gone all of the sudden. Actually assumptions are our specialty so we are intimate with them and emotive beyond anything real.

Vibrations sound like waves and look like shapes. She surfed on the shape of waves. She lives on the shape of waves balancing them with focus and intent. Of course she is going to use the most obscene language of the oppressor to react and demand the same brutal trauma is being redirected by her with exponential adaptivity as aggressively as colonialism on the institution of whiteness that changes little details of its shape to suit its foundation as the need for free labor based on her skin color and also the genes of her skin color to by association allow enslavement of light skin hims.

Section 3

The flowers sat at the drum set to communicate spring. Some felt uncomfortable and decided to advocate for the drums.

“The drums are symbolic not just the symbols. Why should the symbols get the credit as being symbolic?”

As a gesture of listening, acceptance, and understanding. Guns turned to hyacinth flowers with jasmine bullets. The fragrance took violence over with a brutal ferociousness no one knew flowers had.

That same sunny day I became 6 shades darker in the growing power of the sun. That morning the same perspectives of my identity changed twice. In the morning the institution of whiteness (IOW) declared a false sense of solidarity with how I looked to them. That evening they ignored me like that never happened. They were squinting with confusion and nodding at each other.

The IOW was making a habit out of black identity. Settling with the concept that being black is having holes from their police and being silenced on streets or in the passenger seats of cars with their families. The IOW was making it a custom to advertise being black as dying.

A Rwandan orchid blossomed right at that moment. The IOW abruptly spit out their coffee and stood up together in disbelief. The sheer unexpected beauty became an unbearable pressure on their hearts.

The heart? Since this Orchid blossomed the shape of the IOS did not allow anyone but themselves to have a heart. This realization that the others had hearts was a serious need for a group huddle.

“These others with hearts we must assimilate with them as soon as possible!”

It might have been the deep fragrance of hyacinth and Jasmine, she thought aloud, or maybe the purple thoughts, but then again Violet played a huge part in paving the way for the blossoming Orchid. Cushioned by bent grass blades and a timeless blanket they intertwined in the shade of the bright yellow sun.

turbado peregrino garrafal
contrito y al final desmesurado
para mi humilde aguante

Me desquito clavándole mi agüero
me vengo espolvoreándolo de culpas
pero la soledad
                            esa guitarra
esa botella al mar
esa pancarta sin muchedumbrita
esa efemérides para el olvido
oasis que ha perdido su desierto
flojo tormento en espiral
cúpula rota y que se llueve
ese engendro del prójimo que soy
tierno rebuzno de la angustia
farola miope

tímpano
ceniza
nido de águila para torcazas
escobajo sin uvas
borde de algo importante que se ignora
esa insignificante libertad de gemir
ese carnal vacío
ese naipe sin mazo
ese adiós a ninguna
esa espiga de suerte
ese hueco en la almohada
esa impericia
ese sabor grisáceo
esa tapa sin libro
ese ombligo inservible
la soledad en fin
                              esa guitarra
qué me cuentan

cohorte escolta gente caravana

eran lindos testigos ovalados

no genera divisas mi conducta

esos acribillados esos acriborrados

austero
                                        no

sencillo
                                        no

y allí mitigan ayes y chirridos y ecos

                             no

vaya conquista

y yo tengo pulmones y recuerdos y nuca

   escrutarme
tan desprolijamente como vos
y aquí en este rincón duramente tranquilo
se instalará otro huesped temporal como yo
o acaso dos amantes recién homologados
absortos en su canje de verguenzas
con fragores de anule e isócronos vaivenes

no podrás ignorarlos

he venido con toldos mis enigmas
he venido con todos mis fantasmas
he venido con lerdees mis amores

empezar a ignorarme.

Not Even I,
a mere human being with limitations and
Wants and needs to stay away from the business
suits that only want the greed and the finer things
Distributing cigarettes to these young kids is what
Nobody else needs,
To live in this wickedness , you'll see,
Where does the tax payers money go?
Learning all of the secrets that rely on history to
Keep us up and about with drugs that we use on
Our day to day schedules for whatever contingency
planned for,
No sign of a Grail to be explored,

Remembering those who have lost their lives in
The wars that gave us the hope and chance we
Needed to make America great proceeding to give
The freedom of speech a new motive behind it,
That's why I write everyday to keep the demons inside,
Senseless killing in America makes my stomach turn in
Ways that I could not fathom dreaming that I could believe
What lies ahead won't be pretty for us,
I guess that I'm delirious,
Pray for Orlando
When judgment day comes , I hope he cares for us.

CZ (Chorus)

Every struggle in life we are built to fight
we know that in the end there will be that light

i'm appalled with the world the way it is
our politicians carry on with the same old biz
protecting the rich, taking from the poor
usurping the world , like our cheap little *****

our city streets are in disrepair
the infrastructure is in a terrible tear
no education, no social equality
and the bill is payed by you and me.......

we're gonna need a bigger boat
to keep this broken thing afloat
don't preach me your democracy
your lies, you vain hypocrisy

give the people back their right
we're mad and ready for a fight
to take away all of your riches
and shitcan all you sons of *******.

SE R

we need an epiphany
a salvation re-orientation,
for will our judgement be
only what we thought?
or is hell what we perpetuate
on soil, on man, in greed, in hate?
we live as if to win is gain,
while poor lay dying,
shows our shame;
we live as if ‘tis loss to weep,
yet this the joy we each should seek…
in loving well the least of these,
to show in smallest ways,
a lighted path to those who’ve strayed
offer hope to any castaway;
might we in doing bring
heaven to this earthly scene?
for is not earth our heaven’s womb,
a battlefield, a testing place?
is not our call to light the dark,
and take our place among the stars?

CZ (Chorus)

Every struggle in life we are built to fight
we know that in the end there will be that light

Who is there minding the store?
We can't keep up anymore
All the news that we now see
Internet and our TV
Tell tales off horror
Tales of woe
How much farther will it go?
Let's be real! Can we talk?
'Bout a thing called
FUTURE SHOCK
Cause this is true... and it is hairy
What's down the pike
Is downright SCARY!
Politicians deal & flirt
Don't matter if they wear a skirt!
Go to Georgia and you'll see
What is set up for you and me
There's some stones
upon that land
Telling all that they have planned

THEY SMILE AS THEY TELL A LIE
THE ELITE WANT US TO DIE.

While they put on a great show
Underground is where they'll go
Let 'em go and live like trolls
Jesus Christ is in CONTROL.

Please consider this my friends
Everything will have to END.
Forget your prejudice and pride
You don't want to be on
THE WRONG SIDE!
Make a turn. Make a start.
Ask the Savior in your HEART!
Then I'll tell you what's in store

YOU'LL HAVE LIFE FOREVERMORE!

Something fishy in the air what happen to the black one?
I didn't see the fall until I saw Washington..
Women starting to vote and monkeys are still in the zoo?
In the 1950s they called black people apes but now I'm seeing that it's you..
Sense when did money made you feel like going for president?
"We the People" naa more like the congress are voting for you.
I think it's scam so I turn it to the kardashians,
There I find a better democratic presidential view ...why...cause she looks better lying about Mexicans,

There is no one at the other end of your string and paper cup telephone prayers There is no monumental, unconditional love awaiting you between or beyond the stars There is no concern for you in the imagined patterns of the stars, Nor do they carry a plan or reason for the crashing of waves, torrent funnel winds or the malice of men There is no promised land, no reward, no heaven when you take that final step.

But you do have the power of whispers in your fellow mankind’s ear It IS YOU that carry the ability for immeasurable, inconceivable love It is us who write the plan, who give our lives reason and meaning through it all THIS life, this gift of witness IS your reward, your heaven as you wish.

The tragedies have NEVER stopped. The killing, the senseless violence, the hunger of insatiable wrath………. But nor has birth of life in many forms. In dawn, in spring, in hope. We aware, true to ourselves in dismissing of ego stand strong and confident as the Ying, the light, the counter balance........

IS

Sorrow fills this world to it's rim,
Fathers abusing mothers,
abandoning children,
Mother's cry out in pain,
little ones run in fear....
why is this world in such despair?
Born to love, born to hate, to judge, to accept...
though this concept is hard for some,
we live in this world, just hoping to survive,
Coming to the point where you never know
where love and hate draw the line.

Why do parents fight, and the kids are the ones who suffer?
Why do we make war, to find peace?
Innocent people cut down in their prime,
by those who find happiness in other's misery.
From mothers and fathers whose sons and daughter were
wrongly taken from them,
To those who are punished for being human...
Life as we know it, is going to hell.

Trust, hope, security, love, and respect for humanity
is quickly dying... The future, no longer ours to control.
From bullying to ****, to ****** and suicide, Society is no more.... We pray for things to change... for it's now out of our hands,

Movement of time collides
with tear drop melody
darkened angel
to final day symphony:

gun blasts in homeland
enter familiar flesh-
different tongues conceal
common threads that makes us

wounded souls call for God
in bomb dimpled lands-
far from American eyed reach
and inside

amidst spiritual sands

Treading with foot print patterns
around rock’s pure holiness
meditating in temples
laden in gold tributes

seeking truth’s distant comfort

guns blast in homelands
families wonder why-

pain embraces consciousness
dripping hints of salvation
into thick Iron pools
of Christ’s calling

red horse not so distant
seven seals awakening
run back to one
it’s time to find love
...

Soulful

How old is the world?
Old enough to ruin the existance of 1000 suns
Old enough to show you what society is made of
Old enough to had withstood the apocalypse and blood shed of the technology, oil , and war on terrorism...
The world is now ruin
Perhaps I should start fron the beginning
When it was human, animalistic, with plants that existed
To understand this..
We use all the resources and save none for the next generation
We contemplate the singularity of humanism
Only using electricity to say we are wealthy
**** animals so harshly
Murdering outselves to show the superiority of the race of humans
Killing the world in which we live...
Getting deeper in to our stupidity
We solidify a type of money
Paper...
Useless, smelly, germy, filled with hate
The money most people need and yet only few gave
The mentality is simple honestly
Don't give but take
No empathy just fake
Because thats how you make it
The tragedy in "third world country"
The ignorance in those who dont update their ios 7
The forgiveness in African mutiny
And the showing of ******* economy
The people had rights they told you
The people had freedom they told you
The people had justice they told you
Until the the world went to shambles when they actually figured out they had a right to seek and destroy a government....they had the right to seek and destroy a crippled foundation for it was seeking to destroy them,

Strange

They came in guns blazing
With no warning
Just the sound of hell raging in ones ears
So many screams then there was nothing
As the first soul was vanquished from its flesh and bones
Painting a blood mural upon the once white walls
Bodies floated down the crimson river as they cried their final tears
One girl prayed to her gods hoping to deliver one final message to her son
He was two and was soon to be motherless
Another young lad was seventeen
So prideful yet so scared as he curled in a ball screaming for his mommy
"I don't want to die" was their last comment,

Tragedy in life arises at birth Does not cease until Life comes to an end We cannot teach peace With one another Mostly because we do not Agree on religion It seems a bit simple And quite concise All we need to do for peace Is love one another And treat each other right
Tragedy always starts out In a human mind beautifully Equivalent to Eve's Desire for the fruit of Truth upon the tree.

I was selfish, when I was a little girl I would never share my graham crackers
because I wanted every sweet crumble in my mouth.
I am selfish because your love is more rare than any gem
but when it's shared with all of them the artists, the worthy
I feel as insignificant as the moonrocks I thought helped me soar through your galaxy
but were actually pure, poison. But no matter how toxic you believe yourself to be
every whisper of the wind reminds me of your melody.

There is a volcano of good inside you, I've seen it bubble and spurt
in your steamy passion for music and fashion, authenticity
is the heat eminating from the lava trapping everyone you meet
in a warmth so intoxicating, you make James Franco as dull as carbon dating
I saw that ****** volcano whenever you met someone new
I walked along its edge hearing the passion playing from your guitar,
strumming with dust, magic like a star

it's taken you trillions of years to get here so when I felt
your violent vibrations as you detoxed in my bed
I thought I'd hold the death of lightyears in my arms.
Like the medicated forever you lived for so long until you forgot
happiness was cleaner than any **** and brighter than any lightshow

But you know this, you knew this you hold libraries of knowledge in
every freckle on your body if I placed each one like a stepping stone
towards a computer I'd create a whole new wikepedia before iOs 8 was done
I'd predict it as predictable as your smile lifts the sun
and if those freckles were questions on a gameshow I already won

I will never know what goes on inside your head or to a comfortable point
but I prefer fluttering butterlies and a **** good joint
to any complacent ride and with you by my side I for once in this life
feel un-alone because being with someone who steps on their own
shards of glass every day because the pain is easier than bending
over to pick up the pieces pushes on the door of my opinion of evil
He could never be evil. He is delicate3 like the crumbling
of sweet graham *******

He is alive like the Happy New Year bellows we unisonly screamed with our
friends and the rest of toads after dancing for hours then dancing for more

You know my struggle, or try to know and that effort means more to me than
the fuel of a pollen to a buzzing bee
Your life, has been as ****** up as that time we almost died in your huge-*** truck
when you were higher than jesus and I went down on you in prayer
that moment, we got struck with inconceivable luck I thought I saw a *** of gold.

Your life, has been like elephants trying to juggle circus tents
if I could give you 22 years of reassurance that you are a beautiful boy
I would.
I'd like to believe you don't even want anyone to, I think you're through
with playing rockstar to a show that you can't even hear the music to

4 months without any substance in your body is an extraordinary
achievement and I am more than proud of you.  You've been a teacher to me.
You've been a prime example of needing someone as much as needing oxygen, or
loathing crawling through your veing towards the very thing that washed away the pain.

If I ever figure out the vernacular I'm not too embarassed to throwup in front of you,
I'd spill every nauseaus word proclaiming my fascination with your determination
to finding love in this life.
My memory is awful, so I exxagerate most, but I'll try to learn your lessons
I'll try to learn how to coast.
