On wheels
On the road
Off our heads
City bound
Let's go bro
Let the adrenalin flow
In search of narcotics
On Devilment Row
Where the good don't go

Here dealers compete
In a threatening way
And if you're not bold
You better not stay
Young joeys surround you
On the carpark
But you ignore them
And head inside
The deals are better in there
Though the risks are higher
Amidst the heavy hitters

Thirty or forty
To pick and choose from
What ya sellin'?
What ya deals like?
Everyone's suspicious
And everyone's armed
There are people murdered
In this part of town
And nobody blinks an eye
And you know that when
You're that close to death
You feel so very much alive

As I lie here
With eyes closed softly
I think deeply of you
And I inhale stars
The scent of twinkling light
So fresh and alive
Sparkling gentle inside me
And I want to write this feeling
So tentatively
As it must be
Like writing words on bubbles
Delicate and precious
Begging them not to disappear
Like dreams in the morning

This may well be my last poem here.

Take your knife and line it up.
Make me bleed, just for a cup.
Plunge it deep and pierce my soul,
It was yours to keep, yet here we roll.

I think I got run over by a truck,
But maybe that’s ‘cause I gave a ****.
Go ahead and twist your knife,
My once well-loved now spiteful wife.

In my suffering you bask,
As blood drips out despite my mask.
I think it’s time to make it real,
These visions and thoughts I feel.

The stage is set, messages left.
Time for self inflicted theft.
There’s a hole in my chest,
And you thought I spoke in jest.

The last laugh is mine.
A proper relationship poem that has nothing to do with my ex, for once. I created this out of a single mental image: a woman holding a knife and standing over a man laying down with his literal heart exposed and vulnerable.
I’m happy with how the flow and tone of this poem turned out, hopefully you are as well.

Idiosyncrasy
If we are
At the opposite ends of the spectrum
You, red
And I, violet
I would make a wheel
To get to you

You are here
Because of me
I am here
Because of you
And If you're afraid of drowning
In this ocean of hues

I will be the light
Which saves you
In the deep blue.

And they pulled up their hands
After soaking themselves in space
Took a breath and began blowing sand
Forged from dust amongst an age of waves
Where clouds of ash could fall like snowflakes
And their embers rained
A storm of ore was gently sprayed
Over the pattern of valleys and figment shapes
The rocky canvas flooded with pigment and seething grains
As shadows played against the flame
They lay in a wake of clay and paint
Bellowing songs of ancestors throughout the cave

**** YOU HEAT.....
You cause my *** to get burned by my seat!
Every time my cheeks & the leather meet
Feels like hot coals under my feet
Right through my shoes.....******* too concrete
& that's the sidewalk not even the street
Swimming.... A refreshing treat
With ice cream to eat
Mission keeping cool complete
Adios hot weather I won't be beat
You're so sweet
Thinking you could defeat
....instead you're running away in retreat
Hopefully you don't attempt to repeat
.....risking to become obsolete
& I won't be discrete
Leaving the seasons incomplete
Then spring & fall can finally greet
Erasing summer as quickly as CTL ALT DELETE

.....this Facebook status was a rhyming top of the top elite
& it deserves a retweet
Flowing on a roll like tires on sleet
Or wind through holes in a sheet
If I want a retweet, I better go send out the first tweet
**** this flow is neat
When I finished & read it, I was like "awwww ****, *****, *****"
This started as a Facebook status one day just because I was feeling creative & it was really hot outside. I couldn't stop going though so it became an epic little rhyme.

i am not the kind of sick
that leaves the body flushed
at 104 degrees
in the middle of the winter.

i am not the kind of sick
                                                                                     that causes every breath
                                                                    to force
                                                                    its way

                                                                   back up

                                                             your throat
                                                                       while dragging razor blades
along the inside of your neck.

i am not even the kind of sick
                       that comes with a vaccination
                                  or an antibiotic
                            that will chase it away.
no.
i am the kind of sick
that leaves you locked in
the bathroom during class
because you can't seem to stop the
             flow of tears
                       running
                               down
                                     your face.

i am the kind of sick
that leaves your hands
sweating
and your voice
shaking
when it's your turn to order dinner
at the diner you've been to
a thousand times.

i am the kind of sick
                                         that leaves you feeling

l o n e l y
                                              in a crowded room
                                           filled with the people you've
                                           known your whole life.

i am the kind of sick                                                                                                  that nobody sees
because it's all in my head
                                      and cannot be cured.
mental health is just as important as physical health. take care of yourself.
