They were a pair,
two stars on the verge of colliding in the galaxy,
their love pulled them together like a black hole.
Their disagreements threaded them through it.

Some stars were born to fly,
Some stars were born to shine,
then some stars blow up and die, because that's how life is. We either get lucky, work hard and get lucky or we think we're about to get lucky but then burst into star dust that could never find a way to shine.
All i am is a cursed star.
I just want to succeed in life. Every time i'm about to succeed, there's a set back to pull drag me down.

Almost
Such a terrible word
Shatters you into a million pieces
Takes every ounce of you
before being uttered
Takes you within a hair's breadth of the target
And then kicks you miles away
Makes you question the stars
Even when it was your fault all along
Creeps up in your mind
at the middle of the night
Like a robber
Leaving you behind to search
your hallways for answers
I was almost there
I was almost there and yet not.

I'll accept greetings from the dark,
familiar to its horrors and charcoal designs.
On terrible nights, I'll let the endless stars rock me to sleep,
allowing the cold to sting and bruise.
Somehow the numbing darkness,
was the only warmth I could feel,
the only hurt I didn't mind.
