They say, "if you love something,
let it go" and that, "if it returns,
it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was",
but does that saying apply to people?
Because I don't want to let you go.
I don't want to let you walk
out of the door to my life.
You won't come back, but it's not
because you never were mine.
It's more because you don't have family here,
and once you're gone you wont have a reason
to come back here.
And it's expensive anyway to fly across the country
just for a visit with someone.
But I'll miss you. I don't want to let you go.
*I don't want you to leave me.
This, my ballad to the damsel in my dreams
To the nights spent longing for love's first taste
The sparkle in your eye, how it shines, how it gleams
My desire for your nurturing heart, your warm embrace
Just the harmony of your voice to stifle my screams
Or the musical melody dancing across your face
A hug is the closest form of embrace you can have with a person.
A hug does not feel close enough to you anymore.
I just want to melt into you.
I love you so much
I am so happy <3 It has been a while since I have genuinely felt happy. For a long time, I have been sad, then I was neither happy or sad. Now I am happy and falling in love <3
I only felt that way waking up with her
& I've shared my bed plenty
it's nothing I can pin point either
[at this point]
it's like,
a knife is a knife
I guess she's just that type of woman
so stunning, her stubborn beauty
demanding love
& me, one of the ones drowning for it

If I could stoke every single flame in the
fiery blaze that is your heart
          To ashes are the
kindling that I so willingly volunteer

If I could be the strength
round the girth of your trunk
Formidable am I made to last
               year after year

If I could exist in the
     tales of your breaths
Perpetual am I etched in the
               eternity of your forever
Dear nightingale, won't you sing to me your sweet song?
As I watch the moon cast it's shadow unto your tainted wings?
I want to be absorbed in a world of your tune
Dancing until the sun allows us

“If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it,
does it make a sound?” George Berkeley once asked.
Making me wonder,
"If I'm gone, but no one's around to remember me,
was I really ever here?"
