After he died
I saw you
sinking

slowly,
at first,
quietly.
Expressionless.
without the
flailing of arms
you were falling.

You didn't even try to
catch your
balance as
the sinkhole
pulled you down
into a darkness
so deep
that

nothing exists

nothing
long enough
to touch
the bottom
where you sat
and where you
met demise

You were such
a beautiful
woman
&
so far down
that you
couldn't
remember
the sky.
Pearls sent slipping from the string
& in that moment they sing like raindrops.
Monsoon pours red lust across my bed.
He provokes the thunder instead
with a dance of lips & fingertips.
Pearls ripped from the marble hollow
of intrepid breast, at my taunting behest.
They clatter to the floor
like my last shrouds of innocence.
His heavy touch does breathe
sweet incense
through the thick air of this precipitous night,
dark with wild unknown.
He comes to seek refuge in this storm,
& implores me to soak him to the bone.
Pearls tumble like sea foam
across the angles of my alabaster collar.
Crash to the floor like a wave to a beach.
Pearls, & tangled limbs & biting kisses
dive into delirious bliss & sweet remiss.
My ivory blushes with peach
blossoms opening to welcome his reach,
as we amble through a valley of pearls
& silken sheets.
Drunken lust leads to broken necklaces.
what
empty sky
without
a soul
without
a trace
make the step
for me
to climb
keep me
from falling
do you
hear me calling
when
love find
me shelter
to keep
me out of
the cold
i say to you
Leaving your mark upon me,
Kissing my shaking hand,
Keeping my dreams above me,
Loving me despite high demand,

I do not deserve you.

Calming my nervous thought,
Holding me in your arms,
Helping me through fights fought,
Standing beside me despite alarms,

I do not deserve you.

Ignoring the unnecessary struggles I cause,
Embracing my love, although I might be annoying,
Loving me despite all my flaws,
Accepting all that comes from me, and all that is adjoining,

*And I do not deserve you.

love is
that light
burns gold
lifed the sea
lifted you and me
up throught
the stars
so heavenly
without gravity
without fear
without doubt
even if
our eyes
won't open nor shut
still that light
burns gold

in a world that
fights to stay fighting

wins to lose more than before

gnaws on bare gums- still teething
and starves to keep feeding

tell me, my dear
will we ever stop bleeding?
lord
here
we are
upon
these bright clouds
where
we can
taste the wind
sing out loud
upon
the top
of these clouds
this
moment of change
to fly
without
wings
when
the light
strengthen
the soul
upon these
bright clouds
