If I could flip back
The years I have lost
If I could return
To my mom and dad's cost.
The cost of their life
To give me my food
Us as young kids are to busy,
Seeking self-evident childhood truths.
If I could, I'd tell mom and dad one last goodbye
I found out the secret to living
When mom and dad died.
But dad did always tell me
Son, when your years get golden
You gain more Grey's, that means a sign of wisdom
So don't be afraid to be outspoken.
Dad was right
The more controversial the topic, the more golden are word's.
Thanks pop,
These words now to many will be heard!
take a look, you may notice
the stolen glow of the hopeless
a photo so out of focus
lower than a golden crocus

but beautiful just the same

going closer, you may notice
soul of a broken closeness
low notes of a solo opus
glowing like a floating lotus

and beautiful just the same

(a golden crocus is a beautiful, low growing flower, but it can be easily over-taken by weeds, and wither...a lotus is my favorite flower, which floats on water, and seems to glow, but would wither without water)
this is my dedication to all of those who are depressed, those who feel alone, to all of the outcasts, to anyone who feels beaten down by life...you are still important, so let your petals grow... because you are still a budding flower

oni
cold hands
around my throat
dragging me under

i hold my breath
and clench my sheets
as if they were
an anchor

but when the wave hits
i am always swept away
how to explain mental illness
Twisted sheets, mind on stutter
Unable to sort through this midnight clutter
Put it away for tomorrow
But what to do with my gnawing sorrow?
I circle soft blue on color book pages
Hoping the repetition eventually assuages
The raw edged reality of lonely dark hours
Filling the void with Crayola flowers
She's the light
That leadeth the way;
She's the prayer
By which I pray.

"Alchemy is the rainbow that bridges all that is earthly and ephemer to all that is heavenly and eternal. It's the bonding of matter and spirit. The desire for a perfect life that can only be achieved through knowledge.

Alchemy is the union of life and death to fullfill a more fundamental purpose: that of the creation. To create life from nothing."
Based on Stash Klossowski's definition of alchemy

He told me my scars weren't beautiful
And I told him that no one could ever really admire a masterpiece
Without taking a few steps back
Your scars make you who you are and no matter what you are beautiful
you may not know me
face to face,
but you and I have connected
heart to heart through words.

Our lives are woven together by
the tapestry of words,
and into a living breathing poetry.

you and I are no longer strangers,
but fellow poets and sojourners
on this journey of creation.
