I am a racist
Anti-racist.

I growl as Schrodinger's cat
And meow as me.

I was raised racist and
Try, every day, to erase it.

Adverbs, 4:18
"He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone"

****!
*******!
Cheat!

We condemn others,
For mirrored shortcomings.

"Love thy neighbor."

Mr. Jackson runs to catch the door,
You let close in his face.
As you rush to Church.

I help Mrs. Cunningham with her bags.
We stare a moment.

My friend says "you'll get good Karma"

I could use it in Hell.
The most beautiful are the broken humans,
because we learned how to bloom when our lives were completely in ruins.
We still became stars when the sun burned out and every demon in our head filled us with doubt.
Instead of praying, hoping someday the pain would go away,
we created a light and never gave up the fight.
This one is for people who went to sleep contemplating if they want to see tomorrow.
We are the most beautiful because we learned to blossom in the
eternal darkness called sorrow.
I'm sitting here listening
To your voice on the machine
Begging and pleading
this all be a dream
She wrapped her arms
around your heart
Tortured and pulled
Til the beating stopped
Now I sit here asking
Will I follow you soon?
Who's next in line?
Can I meet you on the moon?
I'll meet you on the moon, darling
I'll meet you in the stars
I'll meet you on the moon darling
To pull the needle from your arms
I'm sitting here Nikki
Numbing my own pain
Up the nose, there it goes Nikki
We are one in the same
She wrapped that tie
Around your arms
Tighter and tighter
Leaving only her scars
That minute
That hour
Of pure delight
It stopped your breathing
It stopped your fight
Now I'm sitting here Listening
to your voice on the machine
Knowing full well
It's not a bad dream
I sit here and wonder
Will I join you soon?
Can I meet you Nikki?
Can I meet you on the moon?
I'll meet you on the moon, darling
I'll meet you in the stars
I'll meet you on the moon sweetie
To pull that needle from your arms.
My best friend died of a ****** overdose on September 9th... I miss her so much. Her funeral was one of the hardest days of my life. I had to watch her fiancée kiss her goodbye... My heart is broken for him and her family... and I'll never have my best friend back. Please, if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction, get help. It's never too late, until it is.
It's not love unless someone is broken
It's not love unless they're able to break your heart
It's not innocence unless it's something that can be taken
And it's not trust if you can't trust them not to take it

It can't be passion if it's not underlying with hurt
And it's not value until you come to face with what you aren't worth
I't's not true unless it's threatened with a lie
And it can't be forever as long as something has the ability to die

It's not happiness without the faded photograph of misery
You only know what it can, when your certain of what it can't be
Knowing when to stop only because you know when to go

And knowing when it's over is the last thing that comes
And the first of the last things you will remember about her

"It's Not Love" -JP
Shooting stars sweep across the night sky.
You seem so fascinated by the stars
she whispered.
I think they are more fascinated by me.
I answered
I once thought stars were made
of magic and could grant the wishes of lovers
here on earth.
But they are not
All they are made of is broken wishes
and sad promises.
Wishes never granted regardless
of all the love in my heart
Which is your favorite star she asked?
i point to the brightest star in the heavens
"that one the brightest star in the night sky."
it is full of all my unanswered wishes
They are all about you.
Doesn't that make you a star.
she'd been placed
on a missing persons register
she was last seen
walking to the shopping precinct
her whereabouts didn't get solved
for some time
police had no positive leads
from the public
a full scale search was conducted
but nothing new
came to light
she'd just disappeared
like a wisp of air

some twelve months later
a jogger happened upon her
upper torso in amongst
the Taylor lagoon's
reeds and muddy sludge
this discovery was something concrete
for the police to go on
a forensic unit scoured the area
in the hope of finding further body parts
and other evidence

a state by state missing persons
search began
to try and identify the victim
who'd met with a ghastly end
in the autopsy report
it stated that she'd been
sawn into pieces
with a chainsaw
as the marks on her thoracic cavity
and neck
indicated this...

the detective sergeant
complied the information
he had on the lady
for a brief in court
as luck would have it
she had breast implants
and on them was found
a code number
by tracing this number
and the hospital who performed
the surgery
pay dirt was hit
she was a resident of Kentucky
who'd gone missing
in July of two thousand and fifteen

a chainsaw murderer
did the deed
as six female victims
were found
across three other states
NB: The piece is based on a true story.  I've used a bit of license in the retelling.
