Someone
Screaming
 Jul 2015 elixir
Someone
What are you to do?

When your screams are not heard?

Your lungs burn.
Your head is pulsating.
You feel your vocal chords shredding.
It hurts to breathe or speak.
Tears streaming from your eyes and down your cheeks.

A cry for help.
As loud as you can make it.

They look at you.
They look into your big pooled eyes and say nothing.
Just stare.

Can they not see or hear the desperation in your eyes and voice?
Can they not see and hear how much you're hurting?
Can they not see and hear how you feel as if you're dying?

Or do they just choose not too see?
Just like they choose not to hear your screams.

No one can say you never tried to ask for help.
No one can say that you didn't try hard enough.

You lay there and feel helpless.
Like you're dying.

Years later you still have nightmares about it.
It still makes you cry.
Alone.

So what are you to do?

When your screams are not heard.

Want to run away?
escape your mind
not give a ****

Tired; hurt?
feeling as though the world
is crashing down.
Or is that just me?

How is one
to escape
their own mind?

Born a different way
Wired like no other
Eventually feeling
life has no meaning
Who feels lost and alone
I LIVED among great houses,
Riches drove out rank,
Base drove out the better blood,
And mind and body shrank.
No Oscar ruled the table,
But I'd a troop of friends
That knowing better talk had gone
Talked of odds and ends.
Some knew what ailed the world
But never said a thing,
So I have picked a better trade
And night and morning sing:
Tall dames go walking in grass-green Avalon.

Am I a great Lord Chancellor
That slept upon the Sack?
Commanding officer that tore
The khaki from his back?
Or am I de Valera,
Or the King of Greece,
Or the man that made the motors?
Ach, call me what you please!
Here's a Montenegrin lute,
And its old sole string
Makes me sweet music
And I delight to sing:
Tall dames go walking in grass-green Avalon.

With boys and girls about him.
With any sort of clothes,
With a hat out of fashion,
With Old patched shoes,
With a ragged bandit cloak,
With an eye like a hawk,
With a stiff straight back,
With a strutting turkey walk.
With a bag full of pennies,
With a monkey on a chain,
With a great ****'s feather,
With an old foul tune.
Tall dames go walking in grass-green Avalon.
Blood for blood
Life for life
That was the demand.
An imperial decree that no man could defy.
Eternal damnation was the sentence.
Darkness reigned and hope silent.
Until light entered paying the price
he shouldn’t have had to pay,
dying a death he didn’t deserve.

So you want to know why I dance and shout.
Why I sow seed, and bow my knees?
I am a blood bought son of the king.
I’m no longer chained I’ve been set free.
The red tide washed away the shadow until only light remained.
He took it all so I’m sold out.
A new covenant was formed.
Grace for blood
Life for death

Sorry not sorry that I can’t stop praising.
I’ve gained too much for counterfeit trash.
His blood is too valuable not to share.
So I’ll keep writing, speaking, dancing, and singing;
until everyone I know is free.

Your words is like a fire
That aims to hit on my desire
You're running out of breathe
But I cannot loose my myth.

You can count on less than
or ten times in a row
Look up! and listen to
this heartbeat that overflow

Cause this is something
that you should know

But this is something
that you shouldn't know

And yet, this is something
that you should know

Release the pain
Forgive the main
This is the character that you hold unto
The broken heartstrings undo

Others promised
to fill your eyes
with stars. Only stars.
But I will populate
your mind with galaxies,
complete the space
with swirling clouds
of asteroids and
black holes to swallow
your sadness. After all,
stars are obviously bright
and beautiful, but alone.
I will help to discover
somewhere within yourself
the need to create
constellations of us,
where our myths
and morals intertwine.
You and I and our
moments, syzygy.
Gravity only exists,
so we can fall together
but still weightless
to see that our mass
doesn’t affect our matter.
How stars collapse
under their own weight,
fading out, is so unlike
the way we expand
amongst the cosmos,
heavenly bodies of ours
joining the rest in the halo,
interstellar where I will
cascade over you, a pulsar
radiating waves of energy.
These shockwaves form
a singularity of us,
with no time or direction
but we know what we are;
a meteor shower for those
still simply Earth bound.
Gazing into the sun, they
promised stars, blinded.
Blinding, our explosion
of formation from nothing.
Let there be planets
where beings flourish
and evolve, and I will
gift you their moons,
the craters filled with
dust of my words hidden
where no winds can
ever disturb them.
They promised you
stars, so you can become
a satellite and orbit
and worship their light.
I will give myself,
a supernova, and you
will learn to craft galaxies
so I can explore them
within you, and revel at
the beauty of the unknown.
Our universe won’t fit
in their telescopes.

"I'm a feminist"

say something hypocritical
of such a statement
my stomach churns
