I like to believe
That even the loneliest and least understood people
Have a star in the sky
That listens as much as you need
Gets you
And loves you

This star
Is just yours

Since you're basically one
When you hug yourself
It's like the star is hugging you
Wrapping it's brightness so tight
The darkness barely even leaks out

When the world *****
When you die
When you change
And when you cry
The star cares for you

Even in daylight
It's hiding there

Even when the star sees all the you do from up above
It loves you
And tries to help you
You just have to listen to the silence
And you maybe
Just maybe
Won't feel so alone anymore
(this note was written by the place you feel safest)

Kissed by a storm
For the moon to see,
Sheathed in naked form
Floating on the open sea

No need to breathe
As the rains pour
And lightening weaves,
Through the body’s core

Gentle patter,
Torrential storm,
Deep water
Wetting dry bones

Wild eyes,
Fresh from heavenly skies
Soiled toes,
Dusky from hellish lies

Welcome the storm inside

the mists have returned
to this ancient wood
what a time to light up
a cigarette or two
and pretend like nothing's changed
and nothing ever changes
make myself believe
that on the filter i don't taste her lips
and in the mist her eyes
glancing back and forth
her lips around my cigarette
her eyes around my secret sorrow
and my body
and everything i ever was
in the woods i am collapsing
my body twitches
and i decompose
the nicotine has done me in
i swear it was the nicotine
i swear

The constant cacophony, the needles in all sensitive places, the rush to get to the end for no reason.
The give and take between strangers, the screaming sirens, the specious silence of the app world.
The rescheduling of schedules, the tweets fast and furious, the world spinning off its axis in disgust.

I sit on the step for a few minutes, watching the multicolored spider weaving like an ancient woman.
A bird of paradise colorfully waves at me. An elderly man bends over to talk to his also elderly dog.
A man tunes his piano from an open window. The waves of sunset begin. I calmly go back inside.

It's like a spineless monster
As it claws right up my throat
First it takes my voice away
And next I start to choke

It digs it's nails right into me
And grips me much too tight
Holding me in place
As I will myself to fight

It sits right on my chest
So I can't make a sound
And my hands start to sweat
As my heart begins to pound

It takes complete control of me
Never letting go
So If I were to need your help
It'd never let you know

I'm here to write something happy
something true and dear to heart
preferably without exposing the agony
rattling in my chest and tearing me apart

I'm here to use my love for words
to express something I don't feel
happiness, where did you go
oh, were you ever real?

were you in the breeze that made me feel like flying
as I rode my bike with neighbor boys?
or were you in the ice cream dripping on my shirt
on the summer days that buzzed with lively noise?

oh happiness, what were you?
please just let me feel
but no, how could you penetrate a heart
that's made of steal?
i should really go to sleep

I know nothing about tomorrow
But I sure know what it feels like.

A bed with empty spaces
sleeping beside women with different faces.
To try and forget what lingers in my dreams
to try and remember love without the we.

Yet here we are clinging to uncertain wishes
still I wish for you in a million chances.

Now, I might say It's all said and done
Waking up another day without the one.

O’ Lord most high, whose hands dost shape the skies,
Thou art the light where all our shadows lie.
In thee, our hopes doth find their sacred rest,
Thou know’st the yearnings of each trembling breast.

Flourish, O’ Lord, her soul with endless grace,
Her heart, a garden, let thy light embrace.
Thou hast made her splendid, pure as dawn’s first gleam,
Yet now, O’ Lord, fulfill her every dream.

Bestow upon her, life’s sweet gentle flow,
Take not her years, but let her spirit grow.
With every breath, may joy within her rise,
And let her gaze reflect thy endless skies.

Bless her with beauty that outshines the sun,
Forgive her faults, for they are all but done.
Grant her, O’ Lord, a bounty rich and wide,
Where grace and mercy forever shall abide.

Give unto her the strength to walk the earth,
To chase her dreams with ever-glistening mirth.
Endow her with the wisdom to discern,
So in her heart, thy eternal fire shall burn.

Let not her hands be barren of desire,
Give unto her the wealth her soul requires.
For in her joy, thy love shall be confessed,
Her gratitude, in praises, shall be blessed.

And when this fleeting life has run its course,
Grant her, O’ Lord, thy heavenly reward.
In thy embrace, may she forever dwell,
In thy light, where peace and joy do swell.

O’ Lord, I offer thee these prayers sincere,
Let not my tears and hopes be drowned in fear.
Thou art the witness to all hearts that fall,
And through thy grace, we rise and stand tall.

For Thou, O’ Lord, art mighty, just, and true,
In every breath, we turn our trust to You.
The greatest helper, when the world is weak,
In Thee alone, our solace we shall seek.

After years of
Constant self-abuse
I've finally reached
My breaking point
And I don't think
Superglue will
Do this time
Congrats Peter, you've done it...
