I was not born a

poet.

I was broken into

one.

I can say the right things
yet in the wrong time,
while I say the wrong things
in the right time.
seems contradicting but in truth, I better stay silent and listen more than confronting any situations thats for the later part....

your disability is never your weakness,
its your greatest motivation
in finding
the strength
within...
just a quick reminders....

I think,
there comes
a point when
the pain is so
great that when
you break it is
peaceful.

This girl
Who talks about honesty
Like it grows out
Of a crack in cement.

The flower that blooms
Purely out of spite
And takes what she gives
To herself without another word.

And if she's ever been hated,
She's never noticed.
This girl is beautiful
In her self love.
For my first and truest best friend, I love you girl! Thank you for being the only one to really stay, and the only to understand what a friendship is supposed to be like. Thank you Jasmine, for everything.
Forever yours,
    Your Jo.

5 year old me
thought it was
sharing things with people
crying with them

12 year old me
thought it was
holding hands
the term "boyfriend"

15 year old me
thought it was
kissing
touching

18 year old me
now understands
love comes in many different forms
sometimes in words
sometimes in expressions
sometimes in staying
and sometimes in leaving.
maybe someday i can fully comprehend what love is :")

We used to dance with the thunder
Our stage lit by crackling lightning
The storms would always cease
and I guess our love did too

Maybe fate
is a woman
and that's why
we bury the dead
with flowers
Specifically roses.
In the twilight hour
We reached the watch tower

The swinging trunks had got our smell
And one could tell
They weren't pleased

We had just intruded into their dust bath
Post the shower at the pool
Between us the distance
Was one of studied silence
Till one's trumpet froze me to the ground

From among the trees
Big little mud hills surrounded the space

Our clicking lens
Wore out their patience
And we were just nuts
Before that large herd

Some more were coming up the river
We heard someone whisper
And I thought of rebellious elephants
Fighting for territory once their own
Against an invader that spares none

What if this dwindling day hour
They crush the watch tower!
