Once,
or a million times,
you hid behind your one way glass
or your no way, plastic frames-

And I let you.

All our connection gets refracted;
Split-
Into the many colours of our defence mechanisms
that just reinforce
our loneliness.

Take your glasses off. Let me see you.
I'll take mine off too, so we can blindly make eye contact.

Oh! Kiss me in the morning
as I hunger just for you
Whisper all those things
that let me know
your heart is true
Poem for all who were madly love their beloved

No one will ever win
because no one gives in
sometimes its better to concede
then forever bleed
my shirt soaked red
from the heart on my sleeve
a battle of words cast
the sting that lasts
like venom that seeps
through our veins
the pleasure that's reaped
from our brains
knowing that we cause pain
sowing seeds
no flowers grow
only weeds.

A flip of a coin
is what decides
to face the ruin
or run and hide
if only we used a note
so we could simply float
past every decision
because whatever the choice
it always brings collisions
so listen to the voice
not in your mind
but in your heart
then you will find
what was, has past.

I can't speak of tender touch--
Hands sweep, lips brush--
Ever closer, that's close enough.

I can't describe you close to me--
Sweet breath, buckled knees--
No further, stop please.

I can feel the tempting sway—
Blushing cheeks, flirtatious gaze—
Wanting you, just not that way.

Please love me regardless?

So deep my eyes do stare
Into your soul through your heart
And slowly I fall
Farther and farther down
Into a sea of hopeless affection

Slowly drowning in thoughts of moments together
Yet so far apart

When your head is heavy,
Your heartbeat gradually calming down.
As your eyelids slowly drop shut,
Your breath steady with the rise and fall of your chest.

Your bed is comfort,
Relaxing asleep,
Nothing can harm you,
As you count sheep.

One, Two, Three, Four,
You can't get to five before your mind is absorbed.
Up in the clouds,
Away with the fairies.

But then things start to turn scary.
With the flutter of your eyelids,
Tremor of your hands,
You're awake now,
The one thing you can't stand.

Then all you hear are the monsters whisper in your ear,
"You're awake, You're awake, You're awake."

Boundless energy around us,
Stretched to snare the senses.
Shaped and bound to our life-force.
No barriers, or defenses.
Limitless interplay, front
row seats shall we say.
To astounding cosmic displays.
Consider what a day holds;~
Glimpses of magnificence
In the eyes of the beholder,
Fear not insignificance.
Take grip of your awareness
Exchanging energy,
Is inherent in us.
Throw a love curve ball. . .
Await your reciprocating shower.
those stars, they fall
forever.
They deal not in glamour.
Casually causing us
humans to stutter and mumble.
Let not, your heart labor,
Loves home-run rests
Patiently,
On your minds table.
Prana for everything,
This **** ain't no fable.

We as people
Will always struggle
Because, we do not communicate clearly
There sadly, is also a lack of sincerity
We need to open up
And clear the air
We need to alleviate frustration
And prevent further confusion

Reclusive solitude dances
     To thunderous claps;     entrances.
Swept with tears of life, you pause.

                         Receding stasis

Encourages your somber cry-

A timeless echo
                       In other words,
                                                 Goodbye.
Captured my feelings when I was leaving for bootcamp.

There exists a place on earth
Where one can find true peace
A place away from stress and pain
A place where all of it will cease

For some, it's near the ocean
That a calm can always be found
The waves carry all the stress away
With that familiar relaxing sound

The coolness of the water,
And the warmth of sunny rays,
It doesn't take very long at all
Before the world melts away

For others it's the forest
That sets their mind at ease
The world feels completely still
When you're surrounded by tall trees

The air somehow feels calmer
It smells remarkably fresh
Some birds tweet in the distance
And your thoughts again can mesh

So often we get caught up
In the worries of the day
We forget to worry about ourselves
And take some time away

So whether you go alone
Or with someone you hold dear
Make sure to find the time you need
To make your head feel clear
I have had such horrible writers block for a few months now. Every time I tried to sit down to write a poem, I couldn't come up with any inspiration. Then when I finally did, I couldn't put them into the right words. The result was confusing poems that I didn't really feel that proud of.
Happy to say that after some much needed time away, the poem came to me and I am proud of it. Starting the new year back on track with some relaxation and some poetry. Hope you all enjoyed it, and can find time to relax and clear your heads in the near future :) <3
I miss the hours we would spend talking,
being open and honest and free
I miss how my heart would breath a sigh of
relief because you brought me peace

I miss the feeling of hope and happiness
and how with you I always felt content

I miss you

I miss the hours I would spend lying
by your side tracing the lines upon your skin
I miss the way you held me close enough
to hear your heartbeat, I wish I could hear it again

I miss you

I miss you every minute of everyday
it’s an ache, a sadness, an emptiness
that doesn’t ever go away

I miss you
