It is in this place of
solitude that I found peace.
Within this space in time
I heard the whispering
of self from within .
My conscious mind impacted
with unspeakable sacred
words unheard of before.
The ancient of days speaking
with authority from his throne.
My mind is stilled by
the mutterings of this
sacred secrets of the ancients.
It is Soothing,
comforting,
invigorating,
healing,
strengthening,
and gloriously powerful,
an unspeakable elixir.
I am the called,
I am the chosen vessel
with which He speaks.
I act only at His command,
I speak only when He ask,
I do only that which
He desires of me.
I am a priest king,
An Elect of the most high,
the Almighty,
the supreme God who reigns forever.
I am fulfilled in Him.

You are my protector, you are my defender
Help me run to you when I hear the voice of the pretender
You are my salvation and my Rock
An open heart and mind has many a door unlocked
You are my fortress and my strong tower
When I am weak and worn you have the power

Many names for one so high
But above all else you love me so much you would die
No greater love there is than to lay down one's life for a friend
I will do my best to live that out loud till my time is at an end
In all things Lord be my life and breath
Keep me ever in your sight from now until my death
When I join with you in heaven I will forever sing your praise
But until that day I'll be content just to daily lift my gaze

Do you hear that?
The hollow.
The emptiness.
The isolation.
The sound of void.
You look for other things to fill the void.
You search and search, but what are you searching for?
Everything else awakens desire, temptation, anything to fill in that void and it is still not enough.
You were too busy looking for something else that you didn’t see what is right in front of you.
He has been there the entire time.
He can fill that void.
He can bring you happiness, joy, love, and peace.
Look for Him, turn to Him.
Seek Him and you will find exactly what you’ve been needing.

Time and time again I've failed you,
but you have never forsaken me.
You've always been there watching over me.
Your hand extended out to me to offer help,
but I never took the help.
I always wanted to live on my own terms.

But I've changed, through You.
I seek for help and guidance.
I seek for a relationship with you.
Much more than singing words for show,
and attending services to be a good person.

I seek to be more like You.
I seek to grow in You.
I seek to sing with passion for You.
I seek to live a life full of compassion and love.
I seek You.

Your faithfulness flowing around me,
Though most times am too blind to see,
Too angry to see Your protection,
Too greedy to notice Your provision,
Still yet You remain faithful.

Faithful are You through all generations,
Despite all the spiritual and physical pollution,
You are still faithful,
Constantly providing solution,
To my daily confusion.

Faithful in times of empty and plenty,
Faithful in period of pain and gain.
Faithful when I had no job and when I had a job.
Faithful You are, faithfully polishing me through all situations.

Faithful are you God,
Faithful God You remain,
Faithful Savior You are,
Jesus my helper and defender.
Thank God! Praise God!
For You are and will forever remain Faithful.

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
The creator of the ends of the earth.
Do you not know?
While what you see around you is temporary,
while those around you may not be as dependable as they might at first seem
there is someone who is never flaky,
someone who does not disappear at the first sign of trouble
(or for that matter at any signs of trouble).
Someone who remains when the going gets tough,
someone who stands with you whatever,
someone who goes before you wherever,
someone who is never fazed by what lies around the corner
because He's been there.
Even if you go to the ends of the earth
He will never grow weary,
His understanding will never be exhausted
for He created every beginning and every end
He lasts -
He lasts lifelong.

Greater trusting
With more heart
Lesser leaning
On your own smarts
More recognition
At each intersection
That you can rely
On the map maker's direction

When you walk
Walk through the green
On deep paths
Walk purposefully
In the footsteps
Of pilgrims past

When you walk
Walk each new step
Thoughtfully
Placing your footsteps
Joyfully
With eyes on the holy

And there you'll find
Not only the pleasure
Not just the delight
Not solely the feast
But you will find yourself
Released
Your soul
Your spirit
Sustained
Strengthened
Singing
There you'll discover
Your true guide for your path
Your great high priest.

He steps in and our expectations ascend above the deep frustration, the anticipation felt by all creation as we bound into our liberation.

He steps in and we step out of age old bonds into endowed freedom, responding to the answer to our tears and groans and tears with redemption born of our adoption as children into a family kingdom.

He steps in and our patient hope is emboldened by Spirit-inspired words beyond words reaching deepest down, heart from heart to the throne of thrones.

He steps in and so we stand with purpose in the divine presence, secure beside divine  representation.

He steps in and choses us for gracious generosity with ultimate justification against all criticism, against all condemnation.

We step up in his image, secured in love beyond separation.

We step up, more than conquerors.
