a lucid mind
and a giving soul
the sharpest wit
and a focused goal
in a broken body

i still have my first copy of a brief history of time
and the things he said in it are still as sublime
as the subject it tackled, the passion, the rhyme
it will resonate through me in space and in time
for as long as i'm in the horizon

Put down the remote and venture outside
Get out in to nature where healing resides

Turn off your phone, log off the net
You'll be surprised with the solace you get
Write a poem, cook a nice meal
Declare your love, see how it feels

Put away the plastic, stop doing your hair
Go back to basics, even though it's rare
Laugh at your troubles, hug it out
Why are you frowning, what's that all about
A sign of the times, the information age
Escape from the trap, break out of your cage

Tell me now, how do you feel
Please keep it up, do we have a deal
Memories last but gadgets do not
Live your life fully, run from the rot

My dreams are burning, Letting go of them all .
For my Dreams are filled with Fleshy desires too.
I need to throw them away so that I may pick up your's.
For it is your Dreams for me that shall Last forever.
It's your Dreams, that shall change me and help others.
For my Dreams are selfish, full of sinful desires for me.
But your Dreams for me, are your Desires for my Life.
So I know that my Selfish Dreams need to be burn away.
So that I may Pick up your Dreams , letting mine burn away.

A million monarchs lie dead, though,
No less sociological programming of
Upper-middle to rich classes with
Decadence, affluence, inclusion, is.
No less societal determination of
Middle to lower, being excluded by
Division and conquering, privation.
Yet, they, on wing no more, still fly
In our spirit's eye, heal humanities' heart.
While their silent cry echoes
The 33,000 species extinct each year,
A rate not seen since the last ice age
Ensued; does it move you?
Does your curiosity ask why?
Will you, on this 33rd Earth Day, allow
A tear for all life's fallen? Consider
The losses economic apartheid incurs,
Mirrored by the divide humancentricity
Has levied? Our underlying duplicitous
Disregard for life, greed and oil fueled,
Won't abate for our existence, will you?

The ultimate day when families and friends come from far and wide
To stand by your side and rejoice when they hear you say the words “I DO”

Two simple words but what do they mean?

I DO – love you with all my heart until the day that we depart.
I DO – want you to love me too, forever and ever you say “I DO”.
I DO – want to take you in my arms and walk with you by my side, come along with me sweetheart we’ll travel far and wide and together, we’ll enjoy the ride.
I DO – want to grow our family, increase our Kin, brothers and sisters sticking together through thick and thin.
I DO - want to support you in all that you do, travel the world and see things new
I DO - want to be by your side to wipe your tears when you are down, to catch you should you fall
I DO - want to adore your body and you can ravish mine, always  keeping our bodies deliciously entwined                                                    

But most of all Sweetheart I Just want you and if you want me too, then i will be the happiest person on this earth to utter those two small words "I DO"
