Mother, Father
I am six foot one and I can see over the trees
I can **** mountains and bury my bones in the soil
I am six foot one and I am just tall enough to see the truth
I can look over others but I can't look over myself
My shoulders bend like a bow, waiting to break
And I can feel it all. I can feel it all.

And to you,
May your temporary smile be a golden forever
And your heart existent with or without hope
Let your brain open doors your hands cannot touch
And your chest not collapse when the smoke is too much
To live and to love with you is the grandest adventure
And to cut myself on your edges, bleeds into itself
And to live in your heart, is the biggest place I've ever found
And to kiss you until my hands break and there is no sound

And to all of us,
We're a dark piece of trash
Ribs are a cage and holographic souls sing
Disenchanted by the human experience
We're pretentious and objectify everything

And to all of us,
We're all light, we're all eyes wondering wide
And we all shine bright, some of us cannot hide
May your hands slant, slowly slinging
towards the bells that are slowly ringing
and may you strike a chord in all of us.
May your existence be a temporary forever.

There was an army of ants in the plastic plants
So I poured light through a magnifying glass
And I created a fire on the artificial grass

They scurried and hurried
with flames on their backs
Like soldiers on a hopeless plain,
searching for invisible barracks

And I sighed as they died,
because we are all the same:
Scurrying and hurrying from invisible pain

I'm in love with someone's daughter
living in the shards of a broken home
Cutting herself on two year-old letters
These are moments she can't fake;
reasons to feel alone
So used to abuse, her tears start to shake
I hold her close as her head starts to ache
"I love you too much,
so I can't let your heart break."
She said, "I know you love me,
but you've made a mistake."

I never meant for anyone to be my pulse.
I promise not to step on your feet
if you teach me how to waltz.

One little house
One little door
One little staircase
Down, down, down
One little door
One little peephole
One demon within
Large fangs
Purple and black skin
Two beady eyes
One little staircase
Down, down, down
One little door
One little peephole
One demon within
Tall and bony
Skeletal structure
Green scales
One little staircase
Down, down, down
One little door
One little peephole
One demon within
Large and muscular
Yellow in color
Skin sagging
One little staircase
Down, down, down
One little door
One little peephole
One demon within
Small and fat
Orange in color
Large yellow eyes
One little staircase
Down, down, down
One little door
One little peephole
One demon within
Large and fat
Eyelids heavy
Silver in color
One little staircase
Down, down, down
One little door
One little peephole
One demon within
Eyes large and wanting
Skin red and boiling
Ram's horns upon its head
One little staircase
One little door
One little peephole
One demon within
Fangs of black
Wings like leather
Green fire breath
Piercing eyes at the door
Steps like thunder rolled
A girl laid to sleep
Under a spell not even a Prince could break
Snow Whites descent into hell as she meets the 7 deadly sins

This Sadness

This sadness, this numb
It is not poetic.
I cannot write about galaxy ridden veins
or fire seared eyes

This sadness, this emptiness
It is not beautiful
There will be no heroic sweeping away of broken princesses by
princes with cigarette clenched teeth
or ***** laced lips

This sadness, this gut-wrenching pain
Will not be daises in Marlboro boxes
It can't be unraveled threads sewed back
by an infinite but dysfunctional love

No, no.

This sadness isn't any of that.

This sadness, it's raw
It hurts to look at but it's torture to bear
People look away from this type of sadness
Because it sure as hell ain't pretty.
But what it is is real
This is the sadness that, once moved past, is never forgotten

It's worn like armor in battle
Like a coat of arms

This sadness makes you a **soldier

In this purely cruel world,
My good deeds are my vulnerabilities.
My sins are my aid and the only way of survival.

Maybe Heaven comes to the good-doers
But also, it only comes to the Dead.
This world can be a hell of wrong deeds.
But it gives me a Life, which is much more worth than just being dead.

I don't know what might happen tomorrow,
But on this day, I know that I must Survive.

I might not end up in heaven
But definitely, I'll end up with one more day in this Life, which can become My Heaven.
Have tried to illustrate the darker side in humans and the plight of survival through this poem. Think its too evil?

How could you love me?
I don't have a favorite color.
I don't have a favorite food.
I don't even like candy.

How could you love me?
I hate the day and loath the night.
I don't prefer death and neither living.
I hate poetry and I write a least one poem a day.

How could you love me?
I hate to love, but need it all the time.
I hate to believe, but every time I close my eyes I'm dreaming.

How could you love me?

’Twas a long Parting—but the time
For Interview—had Come—
Before the Judgment Seat of God—
The last—and second time

These Fleshless Lovers met—
A Heaven in a Gaze—
A Heaven of Heavens—the Privilege
Of one another’s Eyes—

No Lifetime—on Them—
Appareled as the new
Unborn—except They had beheld—
Born infiniter—now—

Was Bridal—e’er like This?
A Paradise—the Host—
And Cherubim—and Seraphim—
The unobtrusive Guest—
