be your own anchor
Anaya c Jul 2019
be your own anchor
learn to sail your own sea
leave behind what has hurt you
welcome what makes you feel free
be your own light

what it doesn't mean to care
Anaya c Dec 2018
i am absent with myself
because i am too busy
fulfilling the needs
of other people
i am emptying myself to fill you

you cant write about angels
Anaya c Feb 2018
i can not write you into a poem
no matter how hard i try
my words fall too short
with every line i write
i cannot bring words
to their finest meaning
when the words alone
are inferior to you
its simply impossible

a permanent hurt
Anaya c Jan 2018
my tears will disappear
and i will heal once more
this is a now forever, never ending process
our love and our memories will not ever leave
these parts of my mind have been closed off
the life here has faded like your voice overtime
time has ripped you from my memory
i try not to think too much
because i expect a miracle
i know you won't be there when my nights seem eternity
those nights spent pondering you
and it will bring the heaviest oceans to my eyes
so i continue to wait
remaining broken
for the day that will never come
when i can hear your voice once more
and recover myself whole again
the love shared between a daughter and her mother is powerful and unbreakable // dedicated to my own

acceptance
Anaya c Jan 2018
the world
cruel enough to place an image into your mind
you aren't enough
when we are all born
so unique
we should welcome the idea
such discrepancy
meets no standards
welcome change

Anaya c Jan 2018
i could make you out
with the most graceful words
and still
they wouldn't do half the job
feelings are incredible.
