The sunflower
Is so big headed
Sweet and Pretty
And she knows it.

Rose
They say that love is between a man and a woman.
That the racing hearts and soft whispers are to be between that of a man and a woman.
Yet when I look at her, my heart races and my mind fogs.
They say it is wrong to love that of the same ***.
That the soft touches and moans of pleasure should be shared between a woman and a man.
But when her mouth meets mine and my hands find her hair, I can't help but think that they are the ones that are wrong, not this.
Because this,
Her mouth on mine,
Our bodies flush against each other,
The look in her eyes,
Is love.
The soft whispered words and racing hearts is now something that both she and I share.
And when her body slots perfectly with mine
And her eyes show that there is nowhere else she would rather be,
I know that this is love.
The way my breath hitches
And my heart races
And her soft gaze is all I can seem to focus on,
I know that this is love.
And if this is what love is,
If this is what it really feels like,
It will never be wrong.
This is love.

roses are red
night is dark
writing this poem
hurts my heart

shaky sobs
like violets, i'm blue
i'm wondering
why i ever loved you
to ends and beginnings

His lips are a spoonful of honey
and she is the steam that lingers
above his coffee on cold mornings
It's vapor leaving a kiss so soft
on lips of the one that got away

collect our memories in a box
and take them with you
wherever you may go after me

carry it under your arm
as you tread along new grounds

and when you miss me
don't bother to shoot me a text
or **** me with the tease of your voice

just open up our box,
my scent spilling over the edges

peer into our past
and dissolve into the memory of me once again

When I write about love
I draw ink
from my own blood.
You see,
Flowers need their
own seeds to bloom.

Distraught words
tie the truth to the little lies

with the hurt
comes along a little light

but it burns
me worse on the inside

all I learned
is how to stay alive

To see what I see
To be what I need
could take some trying
but you won't try for me

You see how I bleed
You see me crying
this cannot be
you deny me

I cannot take
all the lying

words I thought
could teach me
how to be what you needed

took the life out of me when
you said you won't
give me the one thing I wanted

your kiss

i want to be able to see my heart in word-form, all of its callouses and scars spelled out in strings of the alphabet
i want words to flow off of my fingertips like the drippings of water droplets into a sink from a faucet closed only half way
yet i've found that the four-letter word i've been feeling
can only be expressed as it is
numb
i want to be able to express myself but i feel as though i have nothing to express anymore

you
when asked your favorite color how do you respond?
"blue! like the ocean"
"yellow! like the sun"
"silver! like the stars"
pink, like the color of your lips and the blush that creeps across your cheeks.
green, like the specks that dot your eyes
red, for the night we kissed in your car, hands intertwined and fingers at our throats.
gray, your favorite shirt.
black, the ink that stretches across your skin, Ive traced these tracks a million times and still get lost
those are the colors I wanted to say.
"I don't know, purple?"
thank you to everyone who took the time to read this. i didnt even know it trended! thats amazing. x
