You're a dream
That crawled into my bed
And never came true

You're a laugh
          About to burst into tears

What you are
          Is vague
                And beautiful

The winds of winter are cold.
The snowflakes fall and freeze,
upon a world that's even colder,
than the coldest winter breeze.
This world is dark and bitter,
It taught us to cut our wings,
to use people whom we should love,
and rather love all useless things.
But even snowflakes have the courage
to fall in this world, and melt,
than giving up to its coldness
and spread the warmth it never felt.
So can't you be a little sowflake,
can't you be like melting snow,
that ends a cold today
and brings a warmer tomorrow?

You begged me,

to fall in love with the
moon.

So I could get

accustomed to having all of
you,

but then, none
at all too..

I grew up outside with the sun on my face
not indoors to the glow of a screen

I grew up acting and playing pretend
not inside watching actors on a screen

I grew up going on walks with my friends and my dog
not alone texting friends through a screen

I grew up empowered by the skills I learned through play
not lost and behind because I stayed inside all day

Tears fall down
to a puddle
on the
ground

the world is spinning
and you stand
in front
grinning

Trust is shattered
like glass smashed
on the ground

I hope you're flattered
that I realized you
no longer
mattered
