I wish I could fall in love again
So no time, no time wasted was spent
I would stand up and kiss you all day
In the hopes that you would stay

Follow me into the night
Your eyes are the only things left that are bright
Kiss me, hold me, never let me go
Cause I just want you to know

You're the only one for me

Follow me into the dawn
Everything else is foregone
It's just you and me
The rest are asleep so no one will see

Just lay your head on my shoulder
Can you tell that the world is getting colder?
That's the distance growing between us
Only we can change it with one simple buss

But I don't want it anymore
I suffered for too long
Trying to get us to go further along
But all I was doing was forcing what we really are

Strangers

Little Bird Dec 2015
For the actions taken
For the love given
The conversations
The joyful moments
The quiet ones
The funny and ridiculous

For the hope of love again
For the Scars of previous loves
For the scared and timid me
The vulnerability I swore
Not to expose again

For a chance
To share my life
To be needed and loved
To care and hold

I gave to you
I gave it all
Even with the splendid risks
Unbelievable pains of Previous loves
That I still feel

I gave it my all
Nothing else to do
Now may the chips fall
I do pray , I don't go through heartache again
Please don't make me
I've barely healed

It's rejuvenating,
Challenging,
Exciting,
Real and oh, so effortless.

Talking to you,
Entices my mind,
Fills my heart,
Awaken urges I didn’t know existed.

I look like a fool,
Can't keep still,
Can't stop smiling,
Eyes twinkling with excitement,
The best part of my day,

You bring laughter to my life,
Affection and Joy,
Talking to you,
Is enough for me,
Till the day I see you again
And Volcanoes of passion Erupt
Then our words,
Wouldn’t be the only thing connecting us.

There's a peculiar kind of beauty that can only be experienced
with the innate knowledge that the moment is fleeting
and the most intense beauty can only be seen in
the presence of both light and shadows.
For it’s often in the loss of a thing
that its worth to us becomes
most precious and by
letting it go with
grace we can
best savor
its purest
delights.
Realizing
that the pain
runs so deep only
because the beauty ran
so deep and that without
it having once touched us we
wouldn't now know the emptiness
of its loss, our grief will eventually turn to
thankfulness that it ever touched us at all, and
we will be left awed by the mystery of its haunting.

What if
Every time we showed emotion
It was all or nothing.

No middle ground.
No half-assed kisses.
No stupid side hugs.

Catch her eye and feel something
Grab her face and kiss her lips
All else is nothing in that moment.
And then you pull back
And you wait
To see her emotions in return.

Will she jump up and wrap her legs around your waist?
Will she become one with you in that moment?
Or will she feel nothing
And walk away.

At that time
You will know
Exactly how she feels.

No more of this guessing *******.
No need for any other
What ifs
If only we bared all.

Everything you feel
Every moment and movement and detail
Is played out with your every action.
Laid out on the table
And worn upon your sleeves.

"Ah, I see you love me."
They'll say as they read your pages.
But they won't need to read
Because you will be in their arms
By the time they look up.

And what if.
What if they feel the same.
What if they get to you first.

You can't tell me that you've never felt the same.
Because you locked eyes with her that one time
And it has stayed with you
Filed away in the cabinet of What ifs
Under the title of "Love at first sight?"

And she walks on
Casually filing away her emotions
In their neat little folders
In their neat little drawers
Constantly questioning
Her every decision.

So what if you act on them.
What if you kiss her.
"What if she says no?" you ask.
"What if he doesn't feel the same?" you question.
But what if
What if they love you.

What if we had to show our emotions
The moment we felt them.
And she would be with him
And he would be with her
And their love at first sight
Would be justified.

And you would grip her face
And she would wrap her legs around your waist
And you would never have to wonder
What if
Again.

If only
We bared
It all.

Your love is the sunlight pouring down on me
Pushing away the world's darkness
It's the future of my life
I'm investing my feelings in you
My sweet gift every every day
the one who keeps the blues from coming near
Keep on sharing that sunshine with me
I need that sunshine
