Day of cicadas

Late summer a lofty pause. At work I am absent from myself; from any conviction. The vegetation has reached to its fullest and covers the vision. Memory free of concern. As in the work of nighttime to morning, so memory of other seasons is dimmed. We wish to retreat at length and recline to watch the season's sunset. Not yet the descent into the urgent. A moment sent to you so silent, it is punctuated with the song of cicadas, chyrp of crickets, so nourishing for you have only to lift your eyes to see.
You jumped into the water under the bridge
People watched you fall through the air
I've been haunted by the image
Because I was also there
Holding on the the railing until my knuckles turned white
Screaming your name into the night

You jumped into the water under the bridge
No one understood why
I've been haunted by the image
I've been haunted by you and I
Wasn't what we had enough to make it through
You had nothing to live for, while I was living for you

You jumped into the water under the bridge
The highest one in our town
I've been haunted by the image
Replaying over and over your body falling down
I wish I could have grabbed your hand and held you back
I lost you to the water, cold and black

You jumped into the water under the bridge
One decision can change a life
I've been haunted by the image
Your decision took you up into the skies
I walked past that place today and wished you were here
but you jumped into the water under the bridge
and I watched you fall through the air
This is not a subject people like to talk about, but sadly it is part of the reality today so I wanted to write something..

It was the night of your birthday
You gave me a great night,
The best conversation I've ever had
I decided to give you the greatest gift I could
Thought you'd give it a good use
Now you decided my love's not enough for you...
Don't worry, I'm used to this.

Her face
Her face is lit
By the candle she holds beneath it
Because she is afraid of the dark
But as the candle burns down
So does she,
But she is afraid of the dark

Poetic Thoughts
The only reason I cannot stop writing, is that because I have no more tears left.. yet I need to let the burden out.

You called me once

I let the phone ring

We could have talked for hours until I feel asleep to the sound of the dialer tone

But we didn’t, because I never picked up

I wrote you an email once

Asking you to come round

Telling you how I missed you and wished we could talk more

But you never came round, because I never sent it

You kissed me once

Our lips yoked together, still, in the motion of the world

We could have done it again

But we didn’t, because I ran away

You never called
Emailed
Talked to me again

And we could have loved each other, *but we didn’t

Open your eyes
I'm here
I fly across states
Everyday
I dont miss my friends
But like to keep her
This is our life
We have everything
We want to feel new
But i mostly stay at ease
Because she's always keen
Forget about my friends
I'll miss the places
I'll miss the ***** grass
I'll miss the old days
She always finds her way
So she pulled me close
So put me to the test
Why don’t you
Put me to the test
Of all the guys
Who want you
You know that I’m the best
We found our destination
We learned our lessons
The plane lands
And thats the end
We land to new land
We were here to extend our hands
We all start to chant
Close your eyes

We laugh
We launch across the yard
We were so alive
Only to become older
They laugh
They play with costumes
As wizards and kings
We were so deprived
But we only became older
Growing out of the stages
Away walking out
Cant find our way back
We were so alive
We wore vests
Swords under our arms
We laugh
