Here in the mechanics
of the mind, some just aren't
mechanically inclined.

A line of people
waiting in a queue,
more and more gathered
until there was quite a few.

Some were crippled
and others were blind,
some were deaf and they did sign.

More and more came
to where they gathered that day.
They brought with them paper,
and shoddy goods they did take away.

A good rule of thumb,
none of what you see,
only half of what you hear.
They'll play on your ignorance,
they will cater to your fear.

Here in the mechanics of the mind,
some just aren't mechanically inclined,
and a good rule of thumb is a good rule of thumb.

There’s a breezy wind
Down bridal path
Morning birds
Tweeting
Having a laugh.
Mr fox ambled by
With distain let
Out a sigh
On her branch
Mother hawk sat
Eyes her prey
A nice brown rat.
Rabbits and hares
Unregimented in
The field skittering
Around Without a care.
Roe deers appear
So aloof
Walk this bridal path
It happens that’s
the truth.
Awkward and lanky,

not a boy and not yet a man.

Youth, litheness; potential

and yet, still teachable.
You denied their pain
And could never take the blame
Gaslighted and lied your way out of the truth
Is this really your way of life?
You narcissistic fool
Two marble columns
hold up the high temple roof —
Lovers holding hands

You have
A good heart
In an ugly body
Even your
wheelchair smells
Just a bit to shoddy
I to have
A good heart
And an ugly body
My wheelchair
Stinks and to is
Rather shoddy.
Two smelly wheelchairs
Two good hearts
In loving terms
Thats a good start

Trauma

I may never meet you in person...
I may never know your name...
I may never hear your voice...
But that does not mean that I am incapable of understanding your pain.

This is not my teaching, but I must share it:

Imagine your trauma is but a glass of water.
You pick up this glass and
Hold it in front of you.
A minute passes.
Is the glass of water heavy?
No, and that is normal.
An hour passes, and your arm
Begins to hurt.
Three hours pass, and
It becomes almost unbearable
To hold the glass up.
The longer you hold on to the glass,
The heavier it seems to become.
Yet, the amount of water remains the same.
It is normal for the glass to not
Feel heavy at first,
Just as it is normal
To think back
On past traumas
From time to time.
But the longer you
Hold on to these memories,
And the more you think of them
The heavier they seem to become.

The longer you hold on to something,
The heavier it will feel.
Just like the glass of water.

the day is fleeting,
so why not seize it?

you might not
get the chance
tomorrow

perfection must be
the fastest runner
because nobody,
nobody

has ever caught
it
