A string of steel shackles wraps
Around my neck
In an everlasting embrace
As I struggle to move
The devil tugs the string
I falter

A ray of pale sunlight pierces
The thin blinds
As it is trying to mock me
I awaken
Silence

Good morning

I need you to go
My soul is full of woe

he had affixed green eyes
glazed but lively
i saw something in them
soulful
perhaps bruised

scared to touch
harmonic veins ran through his frame
he radiated blind beauty with every step

he was the animate version of all my hopes and dreams
and here he was
with me
how heartbreakingly beautiful
i could never be what he deserves
Wintry winds wisp through the air,
The chilling feeling is upon us.
Leaves crinkle and crackle,
Hardened by the cold.

Layers upon layers,
Bundling in seas of blankets,
Steam from a cup of tea warming the face,
A comforting book on the bed-side table.

Cuddles and hugs,
Butterfly kisses,
and a warm embrace,
Brings a smile to my face.

Clearer night air,
Means that stars easier appear,
The moon shines brighter,
Everything slightly more calm.

So I'd like to say thank you to the weather,
For bringing the season that is better.
Just for once,
Let me be,
The metaphor,
Of your poetry,
The chapter,
Of your novel,
And the melody,
Of your song,
Let this writer,
Be the topic,
Of the piece you write,
Just for once,
Let me be the one,
Your poetry is all about

His voice said
Nice to meet you.
His eyes said
You look good.
His hand said
I want you to notice me.
My head said
Stay away from him.
My heart said
Kiss him.
My voice said
Nice to meet you too.

the moon that hides in the dark
accompanied by thousands of stars
an old man with a pack of cigars
laden with scars and craters

always changing but, ever the same
he once said, for you, the moon i'll tame
I once believed that it was a bless
the moon is cursed to light the dark

day or night, it does not matter for him
there is no life on the moon
as I realized there is no life in him
the moonlight is the best thing i had seen

as smoke filled the air and blurred the moon
the rays beamed through it, though soon
zephyrs passed, were cold, and smelled of~
the old man smiled
