I remember years ago,
Someone told me I should take Caution when it comes to love.
I did, I did And you were strong and I was not My illusion.
My mistake?
I was careless, I forgot, I did And now when all is done,
There is nothing to say.
You have gone and so effortlessly, You have won.
You can go ahead.
Tell them.
Tell them all I know.
Now Shout it from the roof top,
Write it on the sky, Love.
All we had is gone now.
Tell them I was happy.
And my heart is broken.
All my scars are open,
Tell them what I hoped would be Impossible, Impossible, Impossible, Impossible.
Falling out of love is hard,
Falling for betrayal is worse,
Broken trust and broken hearts I know,
I know...
Thinking all you need is there.
Building faith on love is the worst.
Empty promises will wear I know
(i know)
And know when all is gone,
There is nothing to say.
And if you're done with embarrassing me, On your own you can go ahead.
Tell them.
Tell them all I know now.
Shout it from the roof top,
Write it on the sky.

“Impossible”
~2010~
I just felt like posting these lyrics. I hope this helps people and I mean... it helped me and if you know this song, it’s called “Impossible” by Shontelle. I may have changed the punctuation a bit, but it belongs to the true artist. Enjoy.

They'll judge no matter what u do!
You'll be alright after this too!
If u start living. Not being scared!
Remember everything you shared!
With yourself, with your mind!
No one will get cause the whole world is blind!
This is the place where you find!
The real you, the you you want to be!
The you, that you set free!
Lying here beneath the tree!
I'll let my soul free!
Fly away with all this wind!
The wind touching my nose!
The wind holding me close!
Go to place where you wanna be!
See things the way u wanna see!

Here I stand on the ***** of my feet,
Watching as the time passes by.
The day fulfilling the dreamers,
The night exhausting the lost.
Why must I move on?
Why must I go?
I don’t know.
I don’t know.

Here I sit under a stately willow tree,
Accompanying me with its hospitality.
It droops as it stands so mighty,
It rises as it slumps in humility.
Why must the tree persist?
Why must the tree grow?
I don’t know.
I don’t know.

Here I lie in a box of plastered wooden veneer,
My eyes encumbered by pitchy darkness.
I breathe my gratitude of this quietus,
I cry my despair for my own creation.
Why must I wallow in my regret?
Why must I now feel this woe?
Now I know.
Now I know.

Scarlet Rose
Slow down
Watch the sunset
Pick flowers
Tickle the baby
Remember the small things

Don’t forget to tell your sister you love her
Because she’ll be gone soon
Build legos and have tea parties with the little kids
Because you’ll be gone soon too

Don’t worry so much about the future
It usually takes care of itself

I promise your mum and dad love you
Even when it feels like they don’t
Confide in them often
They understand better than you think

That boy may be cute
And he might make you laugh
But I promise he isn’t worth your time
There’s someone so much better coming
Be patient
Wait for him

Remember it’s okay to cry
As long as you can smile afterward
Always know you are loved and needed
Even when you think you aren’t

Sing in the park
Dance in the yard
Turn up those headphones
Don’t be afraid or embarrassed to have fun
As long as you work hard in between

Read your Bible
Don’t forget to pray
And when you feel afraid remember God always has a plan
And it is always the best plan

Your life will be a good one
Even during the bad times
Look forward to it
:)
This time it isn’t the edge of glory
no satisfaction,
not a happy end to this story.

Over the edge of a cliff.
That’s where she’ll jump,
no longer holding onto “what if.”

She hurts inside where you’ll never see.
That girl (she has a face)
and her name is me.

Jumping,, over the edge, this is her story.
Too bad it’s no longer the
“edge of literal glory.”

Cats have dreams, or so it seems
Their paws move like Mike Andretti
Chase laser beams on carpet seams,
Or dangling strings of spaghetti
Perhaps they recall catching some small
prey on the ancient Serengeti
And then just doze in a treetop repose
"I'll just snooze until they pet me!"
I wrote this for my daughter to get her into poetry
