in a dark forest
creaky branches rumble,
her heart beats heavily,
every step she stumbles.

her bare feet beaten
for how lost she became,
every step and every path
were all just the same.

blood streamed down
and roads too far from start,
her feet were lost,
but especially her heart.

She lay in the soft green grasses
surrounded by shady, shabby trees.
She closes her eyes and hears
the sounds of the forest.
Her heart beats with the rays of the sun
shimmering over her blonde hair.
She opens her eyes to fern vines
hanging above on the trees.
Her eyes intake all of nature.
All the greens and many colors.
She smiles and enjoys the day
in the forest exploring.

Every moment they spent together.
They had deep conversations,
fun trips, and great changes,
but their love was forever.

One day forever was gone
when an accident occurred.
Time was worthless,
his body wasn't strong.

She grasped his hand
and he squeezed one last time.
She felt the last bit of strength
of her sickly man.

Tears rushed like a waterfall.
Her face so red she couldn't breathe.
She wasn't ready for this,
but whoever is at all?

Her heart carried him inside.
She didn't want to let go,
but one day she knew
it was time to say goodbye

Such a peaceful night.
Fireflies flaring around the gloom.
The moon glitters
as the twilight flowers bloom.

She lays quietly
and listens to the crickets chirp.
Soft sounds echo in her ears
and nothing can disturb.

Light shimmers on her blue dress
and reflect on her cerise hair.
The stillness keeps her at ease
not a strain, not a care.

She breathes the misty air
of this perfect, breezy night.
She opens her blueberry eyes
at this refulgent, shining light.

Your first cry,
your first steps,
your first words
onto the next.

Birthdays,
education,
and a wedding,
words of your creation.

Jobs, children
and old age.
Then its all over,
You have finished your last page.

This step was the hardest,
but she did what she could.
She felt she couldn't do this
as much as she should.

Every waking moment
she couldn't get it off her mind.
She curled up in her bed
just to pass time.

She now felt alone
and she had no one.
She knew though
this had to be done.

Her mind thought with her heart,
but she felt that was wrong.
She knew hurt would take time
and soon she would be strong.

Each day she did a little
to get herself back up.
She wasn't there yet,
but she was strong enough.

When tears stream down,
He was there.
He gave her a reason to smile.
A reason to care.

She was carried on His shoulder
and seated on His lap.
Her little body shook
as He made her laugh.

When real life kicked in
with her real dad.
She went to her heavenly father
for this was the real one she had.
