"tulsi" poems
Maa ki mamta ko dekh maut v
aage se hat jati hai
gar maa apmanit hoti
dharti ki chaati fat jaati hai
ghar ko pura jeevan dekar
bechari maa kya pati hai
rukha sukha kha leti hai
paani *** kar soo jati hai
Jo maa jaisi devi ghar ke
mandir me nahi rakh sakte hai
wo lakho punya bhale kar le
inshan nahi ban sakte hai
maa jisko v jal de-de
wo paudha sandal ban jata hai
maa ke charno ko chukar paani
Gangajal ban jata hai
Maa ke anchal ne yugo-yugo se
Bhagwano ko pala hai
maa ke charno me jannat hai
Girijaghar aur Shivala hai
Himgiri jaisi unchai hai
sagar jaisi gahrai hai
dunia me jitni khushboo hai
maa ke anchal se aaye hai
Maa kabira ki sakhi hai
maa tulsi ki chaupai hai
meerabai ki padawali
khusru ki amar rubai hai
maa angan ki tulsi jaisi
pawan bargad ki chaya hai
maa ved richao ki garima
maa mahakavya ki maya hai
Maa maansarovar mamta ka
maa gomukh ki unchai hai
maa parivaro ka sangam hai
maa rishto ki gahrai hai
maa hari dubh hai dharti ki
maa keshar wali kyari hai
maa ki upma kewal maa hai
maa har ghar ki phulwari hai
Saato sur nartan karte jab
koi maa lori gaati hai
maa jis roti ko chu leti hai
wo prasad ban jati hai
maa hasti hai to dharti ka
jarra-jarra muskata hai
dekho to dur kshtiz ambar
dharti ko sheesh jhukata hai
Mana mere ghar ki deewaro me
chanda si murat hai
par mere man ke mandir me
bas kewal maa ki murat hai
maa saraswati lakshmi durga
ansuya mariyam sita hai
maa pawanta me ramcharit
manas me bhagwat geeta hai
Amma teri har baat mujhe
vardaan se badhkar lagti hai
he Maa teri surat mujhko
bhagwan se badhkar lagti hai
saare teerath ke punya jaha
mai un charno me leta hu
jinke koi santan nahi
mai un maawo ka beta hu
Har ghar me Maa ki puja **
Aisa sankalp uthata hu
Mai dunia ki har maa ke
Charno me ye sheesh jhukata hu.....

Finally it is done.
For months I have been
collecting ingredients
for the magical elixir -
home grown ginger and rosemary,
fresh organic garlic, onions and lemon,
finely chopped jalapeno pepper,
powdered turmeric,
Ceylon cinnamon,
tulsi, kelp and black pepper.
What eluded me was the
pungent, fresh horseradish,
unexpectedly absent in our stores
and farmers markets,
until a birthday trip to New York,
when we found the massive roots
in a Russian market.
And, once properly chopped
and shredded and zested,
all is covered and bathed
in organic apple cider vinegar,
a superfood in itself,
where it will draw out the
healing constituents
of each vital ingredient,
creating a powerhouse of wellness.
And now we wait.
Four to eight weeks
of shaking the jars every day
before we drain the lot,
run the pulp through a juice extractor
and add the final touch ...
local honey, raw and unfiltered,
adding sweetness and
its own preserving power,
along with a strong boost to health.
A long time to wait
for this Nectar of the Gods,
but so very worth it:
a shot of this each day
and colds and flu stand no chance -
bacteria and virus alike
overwhelmed -
say goodbye to illness.
Let us now give thanks
to our grandmothers
and all the lay herbalists
of generations long past,
for through their efforts,
our own knowledge
is greatly enriched.
We stand on the shoulders of giants.

pouring myself over green candle magick
my hands are the warm wands
letting the healing eucalyptus fire
seep into my throat chakra
seep into the tulsi i’m brewing
the california poppy herb.
my olive leaf aligned in a
tipped isosceles
and your sound waves are
melting the part of my stone
wall that obscured self awareness.
but now, if just for a
few moments, i am
awake.
in the city it is the witching hour but
in the cosmos it is no-time
infinitytime
time is a river making
golden spiral waves
i am replenishing the circles
like ancient amber blueprints
now fated by the stars to be built.

Cold n cough,cold n cough,
very tough, very tough.
caught on 16th december
Amid cold and thick fog cover.
first made sore throat,
Then made nose tight.
In the night robbed rest,
That led to lose sleep the best.
Tried haldi-milk of grandma
But sleep was still away .
Tried tulsi kwath of mama
that led pass the night anyway.
In the morning nose started
Used the wife's formula of
Warm salty water gurggles
As sun started setting down
Cold n cough again grown.
Amid this called to daughter
She advised to go to a doctor.
Doc gave antibiotics n advised rest,
O my god what a bad taste.
You made recall four generations ,
You're great for those nice reasons.
Lack of sleep led introspection
That led scanning thought congestion
That is why thanks for coming,
For the reasons of my inner cleaning.
Forced to wear coat n jackets
Paving the way for hot snack- packets
Reminded me to stop sour & curd
Start milk ,cheese and bread.
One week surrendered to you,
But still I owe a lot of you.
Dress well and eat warm .
You would be whole year in form.

Some lines written for cutesy
The mushy heart as seems as tulsi
The one whose divine is heart
Her comely smile work as art
Few words describe my Angel
The cutey smile make her archangel
My lovely sister you are my queen
Your touchy love make us preen
All glory comes to your feet
As I wish my heart beat
The words speak some special today
The birthday wishes coming to say
Don't know how's our affection
At a long distance we still have an affection
My sister I touch your feet
The love I feel in every heart beat
My angel I am your little brother
The honey you give me as mother
There's something happening in sky
As you smile all birds so high
The last line has some special to say
Sending my love my prosperity to your way
I am not a poet to say these lines
But my sister love make it more closer to mine

I grew between two shrines,
one draped in tulsi leaves,
the other crowned with candles.
Krishna’s flute and church bells
played in the same morning air.
Holy water and Ganga jal
touched my forehead alike,
cool drops of faith,
different names, same calm.
Bible and Bhagwat Geeta sat on my shelf
like two storytellers
telling me truths in different tongues.
Even fear had two faces —
Satan in shadows, Kali Purush in storms —
both made me tremble,
yet pushed me closer to light.
Perhaps I was never confused,
just cradled by two rivers
that met in me,
flowing toward the same sea.

modern native
taking a drive
to console with the eagles
recapturing my breathing
with pinched off
thai basil flowers
first thing in the morning
eating enough Tulsi basil leaves
from the garden
pinched flower breathing
in for 6 seconds
yes a lot of trauma out there
hold for 7 seconds
invisible to recuperate
8 seconds out
everything is perfect
modern native
reminding people
to stop not being human
there is an answer
a cure
a choice
what is the difference
of being white
and being human
when is it that human
became white?
how and why?
oops
apology
modern native
it is one thing to assume
and think
all the natives have been killed
but you must not forget what
natives know about our breathing
and what natives
know about our future
