"paleolithic" poems
Three parts treasure hunter to two parts scientist, the archaeologist with picks and brushes sifts through shards and ruins, echoes of ancestral time, burning for answers: How on earth did we manage to carve out shelters from the crust tilting the scales of survival in our favor? A cliff house here, a cathedral there a village by the river chronicling our escape from the shadows of pre-recorded time. We wonder where they all went and why they vanished, but the real question that haunts our paleolithic selves, is who are we and where are we going? October 30, 2015

Give us Shelter
The horses feed on bat-moon meadow their stone age stable now cobwebbed hooves long rested from run gone dusty by the wheels of metal yet they paleolithic horses graze in night’s paraffin-lit glow smelling of stable and the wild run and in the stillness finding their world crumbled.

Caves of Altamira on the northern coast of Spain paleolithic drawings can be found the old stone age of cavemen in a cave high above the ground in Mount Vispieres high above the plain the name Altamira given for high views that prehistoric man could paint was such confusing news it was assumed they were not bright they had no artistic skills then came that discovery high up in those hills bison horse deer and boar painted plainly on the wall 18 thousand years ago painted oils copied in the museum hall even the Dan wrote a tune to praise these artists skills they were stars before Hollywood high on those Spanish hills Gomer Lepoet...

Caves of Altamira
In the narrowest of lanes I found the sweet shop. Behind dusty crumbling glasses dozed the old keeper smelling of sugar, milk and sweat over fossils of Paleolithic sweets on a time machine from the century he never was to a millennium he doesn't bother about clinging onto clay by pottery not succumbing to synthetic counting not on android but accounting on parchment with the art of finger's arithmetic most intricately scribbled with pencil announcing progress is a trouble not designed for the simple and contentment has no more nitty-gritty than price and quantity. Over his head spiders worked and reworked from the ceiling to the glass as have been doing since Carboniferous.

I saw the sun go out Your smile turned upside down And cold blue eyes Brought chilly silence To this ice age Where one more dinosaur Became extinct I've been a dinosaur In other times When love came by I had a mentality With paleolithic limits To understand Female mystiques

Ice Age of 2013
#*Should a primitive tribe be civilized? Are we civilized or savage?* Leave them the aborigines to their home in peace their abode in the depth of forest. But where's their abode? we cut the jungle and made road where would their babies be born? in the smoke of engines blaring of horns so hard for them to birth on the dwindling patch of their earth our Paleolithic ancestors' living fossils who with iron will fought bullets with bows and arrows now falling by the bullies of progress begging for last living space. Leave them the way they lived so long unspoiled with their own education and culture let them retain their own way of life and not make them civilized the way we are.

I find the gratification of Count Dracula inside a glass of whiskey When I see a boy wearing blue jeans and a T-shirt Instead of that I discover him dressed in bark of the Paleolithic period The green top of a damsel looks like a cinder which is burnt by a severe conflagration I feel global warming into an avalanche I explore the revenge of Satan in the vision of a young man who has come to Massachusetts for higher studies I experience a pit of black hole in conspicuous stars Inter alia, The variegated notions of metaphysics come to the deep observations.

Soul-Searching
Nomadic motivation moves the masses at midnight; Meandering, shambling souls moaning for innovation with neanderthal persuasion. Keep the pace past paleolithic, and gift the gifted with a wicked sickness. Instilled hatred, From decades of desecration. The profound **** and violation of the womb that holds all creation, our embryo of imagination Decaying with elation while I shift my shells to match the constellations. -SLuR

Crepuscular Crustacean
table knife, life’s edge forged by fire’s most orange lake. from your mirrored-face of steel you still reflect the paleolithic prophecy of your crude ancestors from which you evolved: the chipping flint and the hand axe, both used by death to sustain life, both stained by the blood of the hunt, and by the bloodletting of rituals, to remind and to remain as spotted rust on your shiny smooth blade. and now, you hide in silence in our kitchen drawers, and lay flat and impassive on our eating tables, as though you were innocent. table knife in the hands of a grandmother you are kind and deliberate. you cut to feed but never to fatten, in the hands of a parent you hang like the sword of Damocles over uneaten peas and threaten like the sword of Solomon to halve everything into equal shares, disrupting nature's, natural imbalances, in the hands of a child you cut quick, and you scrape and squeal like a pig running from a band of hungry, hunting pygmies. but table knife in the purple hands of politics, why must you always cut life so thinly sliced and indelicate like delicatessen meat? can you stay sharp and still broaden your blade enough to carve more generous portions for the poor? for without food on our plates to cut, you shall remain flat and silent in our drawers, absent from our tables, and as lifeless as a silver bass, rotting in the basin of a dry lake, and to us, you shall remain forever guilty.

Soot on LA highway signs. Billboard of you, a real estate agent. All endeavor slides toward inertia, extinction, forgetfulness. It’s very tropical. Vegetation invades the house unless constant inputs of joy apply. The scientist in you feels the great ape in you. The great ape feels death growing wide. What about work? I devote my present to my future existence. In what way, in what sense does one continue to resist. As a dessicated cell, a mole of elements, an ancient’s aura, a daguerreotype-like shadow on a sidewalk, persistent headache, paleolithic herbivore, potential energy, will. Some wake up and pray, say thanks for another day. Others curse their luck, stale breath, the very thought of the rosy dawn makes them ill. Lonely as leaf fall. Nature knows no pity or self-pity according to antiquity, the roof soot of the city. I admire fire, tools and ore. Agriculture. Cities, empire. Trading and taking (war). Numbers, counting, writing. Libraries, discoveries, zero. And the single-minded universe that’s only a paper moon without your love.

Celebrating the summer. Planting a wet kiss on― the hiding moon. Dousing the flames, you come in crosshairs of a mob. You will light your own candle now, in― pitch-dark inside. Impoverished. Always poor to buy your happiness. Like Paleolithic stab, you stay unmoved, exposed to shadows and sun. The water affair was kept alive with ****** curves. No one believes in old bones. I will not ask you. I will not need.

Sun showers and baths in cold water We have fallen angels in our bones Our eyes have seen the ancient roads So we wash our minds in paleolithic streams And wander these streets in turbulent need of comfort Hands tied I waste time burying my feelings Grief rings a bell and all who hear it Must eventually heed it's warning So long architecture If all the falling buildings finally crumbled Then would you break free Like an old violin at a tired symphony The sound of rain falling from the Pleiades Pouring down from heaven While seven sisters dance Wildly beneath the oak tree

a giant Paleolithic dog's fossils lie hidden on a plane of existence. his massive tongue remains pristine, slunk and slobbering down at the jaw. still dying to retrieve the hunt, Stone the Age--his dispassionate master. god of thy god, a pet project, a reverse text.
