IcySky
As I drive along the ocean side,
I think of how it used to be,
Of just you and me.

Life seemed much simpler than,
The sky was blue, and not a cloud in the sky,
Along the ocean side.

But now the blue skies have turned gray,
And the clouds above, are pouring rain.
Things are changed, by the ocean side.

When will the sun come back?
When will the rain stop?
When will you be here again?

With me, along the ocean side.

Leave me high.
Leave me gasping for breath,
In your absence.
Leave me pacing the room
And falling to the floor.
Leave me in solitude
That I know so deeply
As to call it my friend
Leave me standing
Or sitting
In the dark,
Or filtering sun through my lashes.
Leave me to feel
My own heart
Beating through
A thin shift shirt.
Leave me in my mind

Laughing burns calories
So instead of going for a run
Let's just watch a comedy instead

'I'll never see my brother again'
says the stranger I met online somewhere
And he proceeds to tell me
about the rocket exploding
while his brother tried to rescue
others
but died himself

I can't help but cry
and the stranger gets worried about me
since I'm crying
So I dry my eyes
but I'm wondering
how did he turn so much pain
into kindness?

Ami Shae
sensations of eery and genuine fright
woke me out of my uneasy slumber
this past night--
I sat up straight
and looked around
and emptiness and blackness
was all I found--
so went back into my dream
and then awoke again
to a violent scream
my eyes flew open wide in fright
and I realized then
I hate the night.
