The Edge

Take to me the edge,
That god-forsaken edge;
So I can see where darkness thrives,
And light begins to end.

Take me to that place,
Of frightening solitude;
Where people give their lives away,
And end their pain for good.

Let me have a glance at death,
While clinging on to life.
And I'll dance on that fateful edge,
With all my ache and strife.
That point in your life........

Love is like driftwood
coming and going
with the tide

Love is a hurt animal
breaking the quiet
of the night

Love is like smoke
through a spiderweb
hard to hold onto

Love is pleasure, love is pain
like sunshine and rain.

It's been a week without you here
and honestly it's killing me, my dear.

I would love someone to send me a letter
Be it cyber or by post
It could be typed or handwritten
With a Dear and Yours Truly
I’d frame it up on my wall
So I could read it at the start of my day
And before I would lie down to sleep
To recall their words when I’m stressed or lonely
Remembering that someone is thinking about me

Lonely verse

Im just so tired from changing myself for you
And you taking for granted what I threw away
All those moments and hours that we spent for two Then to ache through pain until it fades to grey

I know I have to be brave
and to stand all on my own
But the lonesome is slowly
Eating away at my heart
I've been trying everything to get away from him...writing this poem is basically me trying to cope with being single af again

Summer Love

Like a warm summer rain
Just before it gets dark
I'll kiss you with passion
Against the side of my car
We'll laugh and we'll smile
Holding each other real close
In that moment we'll know
We love each other the most

The Lonely Remnants
My vision begins to blur as my eyes drown in tears,
Things are getting fuzzy and black around the edges,
I can hear my mom in the background,
She's yelling, cussing, spitting threats at me,
I can't move or speak,
Everything starts to slow down, then violently speed up,
Suddenly I can feel my lungs burning as I gasp for air,
My whole body is shaking,
All I can do is mouth your name,
Wish for you to be there if my eyes do open,
Then everything stops,
No breathing,
No noise,
No movement,
Nothing

When all around you saw darkness,
you gazed at the stars.

Everyone wants to paint their pain,
but only you, Vincent,
channeled that awful torment
into beauty
immaculate and sublime;
only you, dear Vincent
saw the beauty in the shoes, the bedroom, the weeds, the washers,
only you saw the beauty when it wasn't pretty.

To suffer is human.
but
to find ecstasy in the ordinary
and transform the banal into the magical
is something only you could do,
my dearest Vincent.

Merci;
