.
O' Widow of the Worlds, embrace thy darkest hours.
Breathe evenings cold perfume, recall woods and flowers.

Glide proud amongst thy memories and foggy dreams,
pause pensive, gently pick a black rose for thy hair.
Give tears, settle 'pon thy fate as destiny deems,
walk through the mist and dissolve into the air.

At peace 'pon thy darkest hours,
sigh alone, a door to close,
sadness sleeps for all eternity,
the silent death of a rose.

There are demons in your closet
It is obvious to me
You left the door wide open
Setting those ******* free

Anger lashed out first
With razor sharp claws
Shredding the unsuspecting
Without hesitation or pause

Beneath him is resentment
Forever locked up tight
Hidden within for years
Now more than ever, ready to fight

Betrayal weighs heavy
Taking up the most room
Can’t sweep it under the rug
There isn’t a big enough broom

Don’t disregard the guilt
Or forget about shame
These two big players
Are leaders of the game

Amidst the whirl wind of chaos
And the fury of rage
A broken heart exposed through fear
Makes its way to center stage

Vulnerability is waiting
She can keep your closet clean
Nourish you with love
Making those demons less mean

As the spotlight shifts its focus
There seems nowhere to hide
Will you crawl back into darkness?
Or simply swallow your pride?

Part of me wants to be in love
So badly
But the rest of me
Knows I shouldn't do
That

I can't
Right now
all around me
People are twisted up into other people
Everyone's in love
With someone else
And that just isn't me

I will not give you flowers

I can't do that
I don't know how

but I will give you loyalty

I'm young
And I have time
And I can be alone for a while

I need to be alone for a while
I'm existing by myself
And I've learned to enjoy my own company
So get those false promises away from me

For now.
Give me a while,
I have been known to be weak.

Do not say,
I didn't try to steal the moon for you,
Because did you ever,
Even look at the stars for me?
I tried to lasso the moon for you,
And you couldn't even glance at the night sky to see it.

Autumn handmaid of summer
Clinging greedily to its green
Unwilling to let go of life
It vies with gold to be seen

Leaves glowing richly in sun
Changing slowly russet red
Or glorious butter yellow
Their beauty turns my head

A soft breeze stirs in the trees
Gently coaxing their wealth away
But there is a reluctance
To let the season have full sway

A carpet of their fallen bounty
Lies strewn here beneath my feet
And now the wind grows wilder
Drowning nature’s last heartbeat

Autumn herald of winter
A ghost in the evening mist
Abandoned and forever lost
Like a lover never kissed
Autumn - a beautiful season here in the village where I live

she swishes her gossiping*
brag
like the reddest red
flag

our confidences cannot be entrusted
to her
ear
she has a propensity to broadcast
them clarion
clear

she'll cajole you with
her amiable
speak
then by not checking the tongue
all will
leak

impart no details
keep them safe unto
self
as the idle talker
respects not even
*herself
