I tried to buy a Valentines
Then I really did not
I definitely thought about it
Still positively not a lot
It is harshly overrated
A complete waste of time
It may not be complicated
Exactly like this rhyme
So not hard to buy something
As a token of my care
There really is nothing
No present out there
Paying money for a card
Is an expense too far
Romance is not truly barred
When your partner is a star
Be thankful for the pleasure
Of my company here each day
Love speaks beyond measure
When you’re romantic in the right way
I did not buy you a Valentines
I am sure your displeasure mounts
Still, I had thought about it
And you know…
…it is the thought that counts

I ask the summer breeze

that seeps around

my cold, uncaring cracks

to sit with me

stay in its place

to keep directing the dance

of busy, buzzing bees

to kiss me every year,

staying rightfully in its season

but to write me of warmth over the holiday

I ask it that its honey-drenched, honeysuckle-sweetened air

would be my valentine
spring, summer
they continue to rear their head
without a doubt, as sure as the sun sets

With a letter to my love,
Flies away my pet dove,
Unbiased by what it contains,
Or by the ink blots and stains,
Concerned only of her kin,
Lest she be doomed to a bin.

So is my lover and I,
As we stare up at the night sky,
No wall nor vault can keep us apart,
Live only to love, until you depart.

Live for me, you may say,
But not one day will I lay,
Alone sans your sweet embrace,
I, your steps shall retrace,
And live and love you till eternity,
Ends its days of bliss serenity.
Envisaging lovers in the 18th Century. Hope we all find true love, Happy Valentine's Day !!

Bitter is a word
made by the mind
that is written by the hand
and the food that we tasted.

When this goes into our souls
We know exactly what it is
but why does this exist
when all of it were nothing but sadness.

valentine
you're filling me with hope
trying to write you a poem
but I cannot fit all the words
that you make me feel
valentine
you have healed

valentine
why don't you come over
why don't you hang around
let's go past the crowd
and watch the sun lower
we can sit at the bay
throwing rocks till its all over

you're so special to me
so tell me why
you're acting shy
I've loved you this whole time
I've looked in your head
and there's some nasty things you've said
sure there's some evil lurking
but you cant live without hurting
and my valentine,
you have healed.
for my sweetheart

there is still
space
for love in your
sadness.

When your days are gloomy and,
       you need some shine
Give me a call, so
we can meet up for some wine
I may be far but,
       my thoughts reach you everyday
You are very special in your own special way
Being a Valentine is no big deal
I know your cheeky thoughts I know what you feel
Now stop smiling at your phone my dear
This Valentine's day comes every year...

Kissing your cheek
time after time
then at once, you asked:
"What are you doing?"
"Counting my blessings," I said
"I was never good with numbers, though,
so I start it all over and over again
and imagine Sisyphus happy."
