The wind blows so hard,
my element boils
and throws out anger.
A storm covered the sky,
breaks thin stems,
throws fire with clangor.
Black clouds froze
carrying thunder blows
and heavy rains.
The wind rises
everything from below
and drowns all into flames.

But the storm will not last forever
it will pass rhythmically
and melt into space.

I love you like a storm
Because that’s the way my love comes:
Pouring down.
this is my 135th poem, written on 11/30/24

I've grown tired
Of words flooding my mind
That I struggle to explain
The emotional storm
Keeps lingering on
Where thoughts get in the way

I guess its kind of strange
Thinking out aloud
What I choose not to face
I know I'll be okay
Because there is hope
Beyond my haze

Maybe I need to scream
I don't like this  scene
And I want to run away
Or maybe I need to accept
There will always be something
I'll never ever change

I guess its kind of strange
Thinking out aloud
What I choose not to face
I know I'll be okay
Because (you know) there is hope
Beyond my haze

Good morning
Ways open for us
Doors open for us
Mountains melt before us
Rivers part ways
Storms hold no sways
Why?
cos we're children of the most high
Above whom there is no one else
We're not afraid of the storms
Because we have the prince of peace in the boat
We just worry the boat won't hold if he doesn't wake up soon
But then, he can make us and all that's ours walk upon the waters,
Ride the storms as we would ride our boats
He owns the storm, he'll teach us to pilot it,
He'll give us a ship for the boat we lost
Make the hurricane the vessel that takes us to where we need to be
Anyways, it's win-win for us
Cos we have JESUS

Falling
As I stand on the street corner, clothes drenched with rain.
I watch as the clouds overhead torment the earth with their tears.
Falling
Falling
Falling

The water splashes against my face, hiding my own raindrops as the sorrow becomes one.
I look around and notice I’m alone. The rain grows harder.
Falling
Falling
Falling

I take a step and find the puddle that has grown deeper and wider during the downpour.
I begin to sink into the cold, bottomless pool as the rain begins its torrential crescendo.
Falling
Falling
Falling

I feel a hand wrap around mine and pull, saving me from the sorrow and darkness that was my fate.
I gather my footing among the leftover drops of rain and take in my rescuer.
Falling
Falling
Falling

I gaze into her stormy blue eyes and live a lifetime in the span of a second
I follow her brown hair as it surrounds her face like a painter’s perfect frame.
I catch the warm, inviting smile and suddenly forget the bone-chilling malaise that soaked me.
I see the knowing expression pressed on her face, finding solace in the shared storm.
I feel her touch and know that I’m wanted, that I’m safe.
Once again, I find myself
            Falling
                                  Falling
                                                           Falling.
Finding yourself falling into despair, only to find someone worth falling in another way for.

The storm growls and howls

through splits in the hollow wall --

like a house *****.

Another footprint washed away
but I’m still grounded
my feelings buried so deep
yet my waves try to scream
begging To be free

My tides alternate
looking for another way
to somehow escape
this violent cage
pleading, “Set me free”

Somedays
it’s too much to bear
my anger gets unleashed
the storm within me
can’t help but Break free
This one is for everyone who holds back their words and their anger until it all builds up and explodes

Lighting strikes at the base of my roots.
It climbs up my limbs
Charring my flesh It bites into me
Chewing my nerves
Stabbing needles into my veins
I cannot move.
I am intertwined with this place.
I am bound here.
Lightning does not strike once.
It strikes again.
Again.
And again.
And every time, It is excruciating.
the cycle has finally broken.

Be the Raindrops, that fall from above.
Bringing peace to Mother Earth.
Be the Clouds that hang in the Skies.
That shades Us right from Birth.
Think yourself, as the Morning Dew.
That brings green, to the Trees Around.
Be the Calm, that follows the Storm,
So the Water...Waves, without a Sound.
Smile like the Rainbow, After the Rains.
Let Sunrays, light up your Beautiful Soul.
Be that helping Hand, to those in need.
So Life....Loves U, on the Whole.
