If there's rain in the sky,
Thunder in the clouds,
The we will take our two feet,
A run through these grounds.

If the fields are drenched,
Then let them be,
Wheat will sprout bountiful,
From the fresh water tears of the sky.

They will hear our feet pounding,
Louder than thunder,
Greater than the storm,
Tiocfaidh ár lá!
Happy St. Paddy's day!
Clear the way!
Can't you feel the rain?
It is soft now,
But it bares its bite.
Clear this road so the carriage men may run,
Gather your families, be ready to leave.
Here it comes,
The storm! Can't you see?
Don't you feel these winds ripping up this land,
Get away while you can,
Or die with the land.
Inspired by the sudden windstorm last night

The urge came.
Desire filled my breast
and before I knew it
I was flung from one corner to the next,
a branch iced over and shivering
as the tempest of want threatened
to shear me from my past,
to break me.

The urge left me
yearning to be carried away
to a place far removed
from these safe harbors;
over lands where I knew no names
and had no kin,
To a place unfamiliar,
but where the breath of God filled the air
and made sweet the prospect of new beginnings.
If they let me,
I will lead,
I will carry this torch,
Through the storm and flood.

For if not for poetry,
I would be one with none,
This art is a language,
We must carry on.
I selfishly believe I am an answer to the concerns of those elder poets who need a great mind to pass on this art to. If it turns out I am not ready for that honor, I will work to be,

Mentally expecting the worst
Everything that could go wrong will
But what if it doesn’t?
Still, my list of to-dos gets longer
Running from my problems so I don’t have to deal with it
If my phone rings, I don’t answer
I prefer to keep my distance
Wishing I could disappear
Or that I didn’t exist
Maybe it’s time I get some rest
Can’t enjoy the moments
It’s always what’s next?

Whenever there’s a storm,
And I hear the rain pour,
As the wind blows,
I’m reminded of the coziness of home.
That feeling of safeness,
A place to hide from the darkness,
When it seems hopeless,
A bed for your tiredness.
Though I know,
Not everyone has a home,
Or one that is safe,
One without pain,
So I feel empathy,
For those who may not be,
Lucky like me.
As I write these words,
I hear you,
And I’ll hold you,
In a tight hug.
It’ll be okay!
The storms aren’t here to stay.
Even though the winds may blow,
You can find a home.
We had a bad storm this morning. A tornado was super close to causing some damage in my area. That's the inspiration for this one.
When it comes its like chaos, and likes to run,
It’s a fierce storm that descends, blocking out the sun,
Sudden whirlwinds, a force that’s full of might,
Unleashing its wrath in the day or night.

Large, hard hail, a relentless assault,
Cascading down, a fearsome exalt,
Large, thick & heavy, the rain pours down,
On the roof, makes a pounding sound.

The rain pours down in a hue of grey,
Thick and heavy, obscuring the way,
Lightning cracks in the sky’s a dark veil,
The elements tremble and begins to wail.

Thunder rumbles, shaking the house’s core,
Sounding like a monster in the sky letting out a roar,
A symphony of destruction, a sensational show,
As the mighty storm’s fury continues to grow.

A shroud of darkness, a cloak of dread,
Enveloping all in its cold, murky spread,
Buildings vibrate, foundations shake,
As the storm’s fury refuses to abate.

After a light flash follows a fearsome rumble,
As the trees sway and begin to tumble,
Trees bend and break, houses tremble and sway,
As nature’s wrath reigns the dark day.

Gale force winds, relentless and wild,
Blow through the land, a force ever so mild,
No shelter from the storm’s embrace,
As wind & rain leave destruction all over the place.

Beware the storm, its power untamed,
A reminder of nature, forever unchained,
Nature’s wrath comes in all its glory,
A testament to its eternal, never-ending story.
Inspired by devastating storms, my heart goes out to people who are or have gone through this

Silences grow where words once flowed,
Love unsure, yet still bestowed.
A question lingers, a fear untamed,
A love too fragile to be claimed.
I am the darkness!
Fierce and unafraid
Monsters in the shadows of my mind

You shine your lights
but cannot **** me!
I blind you
and you stumble on
in the night

I am the wolves!
Howling at the moon
We revel in the black forests
of impending fear and doom
and laugh at the screams of terror that echo through the woods

I am the phantom!
Crying out to be set free
Wandering aimlessly through the trees
Growing accustomed to the dark and the cold
Did I choose this fate?

I am the magma!
Flowing deep in the core in the earth
You do not see me
but you know that I am there
You marvel
You fear

I am the fire!
Surging furiously through forests and hearts
Igniting undergrowth and passion

I have no enemies
I have no friends
I only rage, consuming everything in my path
until it's all gone
I cheer at my triumph!

I am the rain!
Falling in rivulets into the midnight
I extinguish the flames and leave nothing but ash
I cry for what once was
before the unforgiving fire stole it away

I am the storm!
Screaming, screaming screaming in thundering cries
Striking down anything and everything that gets in my way

I am unstoppable
Flooding the world and drowning all who claim to be good
Laughing mercilessly, leaving no stone unturned!
Anything I cannot reach is struck down
by lightning power
unrivaled

I am an ant!
Intelligent and strong
patient, persevering, hardworking
Serving my queen
Caring for my colony

When intruders come to **** and destroy
I fight bravely
Tiny warrior in a vast army
Struck down cruelly by giant, fumbling hands
Dying a warrior's death
of insignificance

I am the monster!
lurking in the night
I torture and ****
anyone who dares to set foot in my forest
Wiping my bloodied hands on ashen trees
and laughing in twisted pleasure
as my victims scream for mercy

I am an angel!
Watching the bloodbath from afar
and caring for the mourning innocent
as they ascend to heaven
I weep for the life lost to the monster's hands

I am the darkness!
I am everything
I am nothing
I am beauty
I am fear
I conceal
and I illuminate
Fear me
and revel in my beauty
