The spotlight fades, the curtain falls;

I lay in the dark, close my eyes

And play audience to a celestial symphony of my very own.

Brilliantly lit stars scuttle across

with barely contained urgency.

Trying to find their way home in the dark;

Seeking their designated spot;

Collapsing, colliding, alligning;

Finally coming to a stand still;

To form a pattern - a semblance of home;

Playing their part in the constellation.

Lo and behold, a planet clothed in flaming orange

Darts acroos the sky, pauses to catch it's breath;

Then explodes - into a million little fragments;

Breathtaking, brutal and brilliant, all at once.

Dreams waiting to be sought, seen, serenaded;

And I wake up - to a new show, a new stage, new actors

and yet another spin around the sun!
I woke up from this dream on the morning of the 1st of January 2016 and something inside me shifted a little.

I saw it twinkling in the night, so I reached up towards the sky. I wanted so badly to catch it in my hands, but the universe wouldn't yet comply.

I thought of words that made my heart skip, but none more then the ones you said. Stars so brightly circle me, possibilities fill my pretty head.

Scattered about so endlessly, astrology beyond what I can see. If I catch this shooting star, maybe fate will leave us be.

It passes by a moon we share, that casts an eerie glow. Mystics relics can't reveal, something our hearts already know.

I close my eyes and catch that star, plucked it from the night. Now I Kneel on bended knee, wishing with all my might.

My dream is like a thousand stars above

So hard to reach but still I'd like to try

And if I follow them into the sky

I'd reach the shooting star of what I love

I love looking into your eyes only to see stars that light up
and glisten like an aurora over the northern hemisphere.

I see galaxies form at the palms of your hands that slowly cluster into a fist of love and anger,

red fumes intermixed with purple erode from your fingertips
and onto my orbit.

How beautiful it is to look into a constellation that is inches away from my face and to want to kiss it.

A universe at my sight and only
a touch away,
a look away,
a kiss away.

And I get so lost as I stare into her soul,
but she sits silently as words are carried in meteor showers.

Shooting stars light up in-between our bodies
and the tension is seen.
Fires burn inside our hearts and people gaze at us like we are cosmic,
and we might as well be.

They don’t know what it’s like to look into something beautiful and want to gaze at her for an eternity that we do not have.

And that’s the beauty about humanity,
being mortal.

Because I will never ever have someone come into my life and burn a spectacle of colours that I’ve never seen before.

This is a once and a lifetime thing.

And I’m so so happy.

Happy.
