Time, said the bird,
As it flew through the bay,
Catching the wind
On that fine summer’s day.

Alone, it flew by,
As I watched from the sill;
Its feathers so white
As it flew past the hill.

Stop, I had wailed,
As his storm hit my shore;
But the damage was done
As I lay on the floor.

Sky, you and I,
We’ve been here before;
Sharing this tale,
Perhaps more and more.

Clear was the glass,
As I stared through the pane,
Wondering just then
If the sky was to rain.

Done, said the sky,
With a wink of its eye;
Time to get up,
here’s no need to cry.

Peace, he did cry
As he stepped on the boat;
I watched with a smile
As he settled afloat.

Dark, warned the sky,
As the boat set its sail;
The warnings were there
To live through this tale.

Listen, dark sailor,
The sky is no friend;
The boat tried to help
His friend in the end.

Hell, she will send us,
If you carry this through.
But the man would not listen
To the boat who held true.

Wild, called the storm,
As it blew through the hall,
Tearing and shaking
The paint on the wall.

Hope, I did feel,
As the sky fought my cause;
Smashing and banging
The air without pause.

Break, cried the storm,
As it picked up the boat.
The man and his friend
On the water were smote.

Death was his lot
As he sailed on the sea;
I waited ashore
For my life to be free.

My ship set sail on a voyage
Not many years ago
The gentle waters rocked me
Their whispers soft and slow
The winds took me further out
Into the open sea
The waves crashed and came on board
Nearly drowning me
The once clear skies had darkened
Whirling clouds gathered near
Cold rain pelted down
And pierced my sails with fear
A strong force pulled my body
Towards a swirling endless pit
All my sailors overboard and I knew this was it
Swallowed whole but still in pieces
This voyage was cut short
The little ship not strong enough
To give that much support
Not all missions are accomplished...
Born too late too sail the seven seas
to find new lands, strange bird,s
gigantic tree's.
There is not much left too discover, no
precious metals or stones for the
common man too uncover. No desert that
has not been trod, no new cultures
no new god!
No mountains left to climb, no new rivers
too unwind, no jungles left too creep for
the common man in the street.
Gone are the days he would sail the world
in ships made just from wood, too take his
God to peoples new for what he thought
the common good. Born too late for all
adventures set in foreign lands, born to
late for a common man.

When I die, if you want to be closer to me
don't take a plane
because I'm not im Heaven,
I'll be out at sea

When you die, no one will spill a tear or a drop of blood
Because life goes on
even when they think it won't
they just have to trudge through the mud

When we die, we die together
maybe all at once, maybe seperately
but we all do
and dreading when it happens won't make it any better

Let's set sail
and float without fail
even if we go blind we'll read whole books in Braille
and life will never get stale
we'll drink tea and we'll live free as she and he
her and him let's do it on a whim
you'll be thought of before me
I'll even sign a decree
or a contract
it's love when we come in contact
and I believe it as fact
so let's make a pact
to set sail and never come back

the salt* that poured into my now bleeding wound was like

how *he
came into my heart.

hurtful, sorrowful yet gay.

the current that moved beside my still body was like

how my emotions made my corpse feel.

contenment, compassion yet desire.

the wind whisphering in my ear was like

him telling me goodbye.

gloomy, neglected yet loathing.

the white caps dancing on the waves was like

when i remembered him.

peaceful, tranquil yet remorseful.

and so, when the still river hit the sharp rocks-

it shred it to pieces- only like what you did with my heart.

wearness, rage yet misery.
for lachy. i love you.

In fathoms
Between my flannel sheets,
There's no better place
To sleep;
But then I turn my blanket on,
Level Two
Is snug and warm.
Envelope-like we interlope,
Entwine and grind,
And grasp and *****,
Giving me rising hope,
This tug's gonna stay afloat.

Up now. Rise. Up periscope!

Dive. Dive!

Beneath waves and swirls,
Beneath flannel caps
To chests of pearls,
Now deeper,
Where life unfurls.

Our raging flannel
Seas
Grow calm;
And in the quiet,
After the storm,
We lie on
Our bedded sea,
My first mate sighs:
*I have to ***.
A *****'s tail.

Don't ever know the tide,
just by looking.
Do I dare go aboard?
Can I keep this friendship sailing?
By the comfort of my ocean,
near the dock at my home.
The ocean remains,
so theres always new sailors to
bond with.
So I'll get to know you
since when I'm alone on my sunfish
I see you on your opti.
Before you get on my ship
I'll bond with you
like we sailors do
and together we sail away
as friends.

My dream began
with a pronoun waking
in the morning light,
followed by a verb
carried in the wind
from across the lake,
as the adverb
whispered a preposition,
adjectives modified
a proper noun, and
I sailed quietly
to your beautiful name
