You never think it is going to happen to you
Until you hear of a letter from the sheriff’s department,
And the quiet guy in your econ class no longer shows up to school.

You never think it would happen to them
Until you’re laughing over coffee
And someone mentions the events of last friday
And how the police were called in

You never think it would happen to her
Until she’s making jokes about it
But could have been gone forever
May the circumstances had changed

And you laugh along,

But the moment the talking stops,
The smiles fade,
You’ll come to the halting realization

You never think

Why do they say
Love doesn’t exist?
When I’m looking at you
And seeing this

Marvelous crystals -
Intangible sight
Your particles gleam
In the beaming of light

How can they say
Love doesn’t exist?
When in kissing you
I was a bliss.

How did you found me,
Wandering soul
Running in circles of love?

Were you excited
To jump in my flow
After the night in The Grove?

Were you that cruel
Stopping the rivers,
Cutting my last breathing cord?

Beautiful fool
I spot in the mirror,
Whom you so gracefully lured.
praising your great skills in stealing my heart

I took the dress off
And there you saw
Constellations on my skin,
All the stars,
Backwards of my loving
Every part of you.
All my feels imprinted here
Collarbone in scars.

Closer as she comes
Weary flowers blossom anew.
Wounded heart seems to forget
Its ache.
Perplexed soul halts wandering,
As lips rise with the purest smile.
She sights beauty
In your despondency
A Mother’s love
That heals the world.
Inspired by my Mother and dedicated to each and every other one.

Who we are
To interfere with Universe?
And ruin the paths
She had destined for us.
In our very own selfishness
Blinding the truth
We’re not meant to be together.
